http://www.lockergnome.com /mobile/2012/03/21/netzero-offering-free-4g-mobile-broadband-service/ – Free isn’t a word you hear very often in the world of Internet service providers, but there are occasions where it comes up, typically with pages of disclaimers and hidden charges. Recently, NetZero introduced its latest service option featuring 4G mobile broadband with no contracts and a liquid plan selection allowing you to switch between plans as needed. One plan, offering 200 MB of monthly data, features a monthly cost of zero. How is this possible, you might ask? How can you have what amounts to free Internet service, especially mobile service through a 4G hotspot?

If you payed for YOUR smart phone, why should you have a contract to begin with?
Might get this for the bus rides from school and back this summer, when I start and get my new laptop. lol Maybe it'll work, maybe it wont.
Nevermind, for only a year of service, and without renewal, this free option has a hidden cost. I will not spend so much money on a device that I can only use for a year. Not worth it at all.

I think net0 should offer unlimited 4G data for $50 a month
i wish they had this in australia!
funny I've had a netzero email addy for years, didn't know about the wireless option
yep. I noticed that myself too. Was looking at it thinking that even though there isn't a 4g service near me, I could get this for when I travel to the larger cities and have 4g access. But seeing that it's only for a year for the free plan, I lost my interest in it right now. Maybe when 4g becomes available in my area, I'd do this.
lol I pay $50 for 500mb on 3G…….
you failed to mention that you can only use the free service for a year, you then either have to move onto a paid package or stop using it.
Because people in the US have more monyes and the companis yous that
When i was jong i had to conect with a cabel or wifi to get on the internet xp
so for this free plan, would you just have to pay for the device and every month, you would get 200 mb free? Like every month, you wouldn't have to pay anything? Is it only for a limited time, like free for the first year and then you need to start paying?
once u buy the hotspot piece u can get a free year but u can only use 200mb a month.
I have CLEAR in Brooklyn i pay $50 monthly for unlimited data and i get 12 or more mb/s is awesome.
Chanel No.5 Commercial before your vid lol 🙂 …no joke.
I have a Clear Modem in the Seattle-Tacoma area and use up gigs upon gigs! Great signal! You want the large modem which I have plugged into my router and stream HD movies on my Bluray while I surf the web. You need your modem right near a window.
I just looked at my internet usage, I don't browse that much, I've been on a good amount of the day with alot of webpages and video and I've only used 53 MB
It's 50 for 4GB if your a normal user, (I'm not I go to about 5 to 6 GB per month (love unlimited), then it's free with the 200 mb or 10 for the 500, it's really not that bad and I feel this is a good step for netzero.
Netzero a damn scam
i have net zero for 11 years and when your cox cable high speed is down the free 10 hour a month dial up was very useful when cox was down and i could not get online netzero allowed me to with the free dial up it was slow but it got me online while my premium cox broad band was down
net zero sucks you know it
hey Chris do you think the 200 is enough for me i'm only going to use it for texting
As i said before the net zero free dial up came handy many times because when cox was down and i needed to check e-mail and very basic web browsing it came very handy while my premium $54 dollars a month cox was completely off line . Net zero is slow but if your ISP is down free dial up comes super handy
anyone dumb enough to pay $19.99 shipping is a fool
It is not free
is it strong enough to run a desktop for gaming, or at least run a ps3 or Xbox one?
Netzero still exists….
