  1. I was really looking forward to the show on population until they dragged out this idiotic feminist who thinks we should pass laws demanding that women be 1/2 the elected officials! Women have the vote, they are the majority of voters, women are obviously not interested in being politicians or electing female politicians. We have enough affirmative action for women already.

  2. A very good panel of speakers. I hope Ana can bring some awareness into the current and coming generations with her straight and honest meaningful talking about these issues. Its really about time people start understanding the challenges we are facing on the planet and that the timescale is shortened for every new report coming out on climate change.

  3. I love it where they mention 70'000 kids are going to bed hungry in america is a population subject when the majority of the reality of the case is the GREED of the WEALTHY!!!!

  4. Another thing that should be pointed out that is that BP was exuded for bidding in drilling contracts with in the united states, that was determined by the government that was an "just punishment", granted it was not far enough. They should of been people thrown in jail, and any BP contracts land should of been given to other oil company that act more responsible, so it is not true that they are "in the game", they still were punished, but they were not punished enough. .

  5. I'm surprised how little the panel knows about the Mayan Prophecy. I thought is was common knowledge that the Prophecy talks about the end of an Age. The Piscean age to be precise & the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. It entails a major shift in the consciousness & energy of the planet & its inhabitants. Many other cultures have similar prophecies talking of great change & shifts. This is the 2nd time The Point lacked a little bit of research in one of their topics. But I still enjoy 🙂

  6. because it is a myth createdd by primitive culture that happned to have above average knowledge of astronomy considering its time…why didnt they predict their Aztec civilisation downfall?

  7. Fact check.

Actually the mayans did not make any prediction. None at all. If the calendar runs out, you party and get drunk and the next day you seamlessly start the same calendar again, from day one. What i dont understand is: Why do you spread lies?

Really, answer me this, why do you spread lies about that calendar?

  8. a REALLY IMPORTANT FACT people need to know about human population growth:

Any drop in infant mortality is ALWAYS followed by a drop in fertility. Thats a solid fact, an observation about reality, the explanation for this is still somewhat unclear i think. The way i explain it is that women do not want to be birth-machines, they just want 1 or 2 children that survive.

  9. This video is idiotic. End of the world? Earth would have to collide with another planet for that to happen. There eventually will be an end to homo sapiens, but Earth will last until our star expands into a giant red ball and consumes it. Climate change has never destroyed this planet

  10. We are investing in green energy and scientific innovation, eventually green energy will become a more viable option than coal oil and nat gas. Growing parts of an animal using stem cells extracted from livestock will eventually replace the need to grow and raise an entire animal for food. I don't think we are fucked.

  11. We are poisoning the environment with aluminum, barium, and some other chemicals.
This has been founded, and needs the attention of every citezen of every nato country.

What in the world are they spraying?
I defy you to watch this, and still feel fine.

  12. Over Population is a lie.
You can fit the whole population of the world, comfortaly, in the state of Texas. This is a proven fact. (Do your own fact finding)
The worlds resources are controlled due to greed, otherwise there would be more than enough to feed, and water the whole world.

  13. I find it extremely hypocritical to have wealthy people that exercise enormous carbon footprints discuss how womens rights are the answer to a lower carbon emmitting world.

  14. You know the guy?

Mind you, we still ALL need to reduce our personal carbon footprint.

But if womans rights – which by itself is a good idea – also helps, I don't mind if it is pointed out.

  15. @IMortage I think you missed my point. Firstly, third world cultures are the lowest carbon emitters. Going there, industrializing their society so women can go to college and get a nice job in an office and avoid cultural matrimony is like saying the problem is with them and not us. Industrialized nations are the cause of climate change, and it takes one hell of an arrogant asshole to suggest otherwise.

  16. With a topic like climate change or Malthusian population explosion, you'd think there would be at least 1 scientist on the panel. I see two commentators, a tv producer, and a comedian. Sex therapists for the sex segments, but no scientists for the science topics?

  17. When I listen to Thompson all I can think of is animals attacking and cars crashing while his voice says "This poor guy has no idea that you should never…" or "This girl is about to learn the hard way…"

  18. Good.  let's take away all the big houses and fancy cars from people like these hypocrites FIRST!  Notice how they are ALL trying to force those who have the least to alter their lifestyles while these elite POS hold on to all their luxuries?  Yeah, blaming on the republicans. Morons.

  19. Go visit Scarsdale, NY, Beverly Hills, CA, The Hamptons in Long Island, NY and you will find all the people who are the biggest carbon emitters.  They all want the poor to change their lifestyles so there is more stuff for them to consume!! Fuck these libtard assholes!!!
