Experts Meeting on Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific (Manila, 10 to 12 February 2014)
Three months after typhoon Haiyan, possibly the strongest to ever hit land, UNESCO and SEAMEO INNOTECH organized a Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development expert meeting for Asia and the Pacific, from 10 to 12 February 2014, in Manila, Philippines. Almost 100 participants — among them representatives from ministries and non-governmental organizations, educators and youth — exchanged experiences and good practices in climate change education. As part of the meeting, participants visited two awarded ‘Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Schools’ in Manila — Miriam College and Commonwealth Elementary School.
