A discussion with Patrick Bond on the lack of political will to deal with climate change and the forces mobilizing for action

Most of the lack of political will comes from how corporations make money off pollution.
The rich in general feel that they can find ways to survive it anyway, without caring about what happens to everyone else. Hence why they're not too concerned about it.
At the same time, money is worthless underwater. It's gonna get to them eventually.
"They" called it "Climate change" i called it Underfunded!
Real not so real news….
The reason for the attitude changes, comes from comparing the alarmist doomsday scenarios that the climate hysterics predicted, with the fact that nothing has actually happened. You can point to droughts and storms but these can be seen as just variability in the climate.
When Katrina drowned New Orleans the hysterics said it was evidence that global warming was having an impact. Now, the polar vortex that gave the US its record breaking winter, they explain it away as just natural variability.
Who will pay? Cui bono?
great report. paul good job getting at the heart of elite's motivation
Has the IPCC ever allowed independent peer review of its original data upon which their 8-10 climate models are based? If so, there's no proof that it ever has. The goal of the UN has always been one world govt.& it's concomitant one world economy. Since 1945, the US goal has been to sit atop that globalized world. This is precisely what G. H. W. Bush meant with his "universal" proclamation of the NWO & the subsequent UN Agenda 21 & its IPCC designed to eliminate de facto & de jure national sovereignty. Instead of the elimination of nationalism, it has perversely advanced it everywhere. NATO is its only enforcement arm.
Who Will Pay for Climate Change Disaster? the little people that live where it affects
You will pay for it, the media, the bankers, oil and gas companies, England, Rothschild, Halliburton, Bush, Clinton, BLM, and legislation for allowing it to get as bad as this
Yep. 15,000 years ago when this cycle of global warming started, Massive damage occurred. The coastal area of the gulf of mexico, lost 50 to 100 miles of inland coast as the waters of the ocean rose…the coast used to be that much farther out. Massive flooding occurred in eastern Washington State as glacial ice dams broke and soil was washed away and thousand foot trenches were dug into the earth. The land bridge connecting Asia and North America flooded Thousands of ocean islands were lost. Thousands of species of animals went extinct.
Yes. I want to know who will pay for this environmental catastrophe that we are still suffering from?
With more severe threats affecting us NOW from poisoning of our oceans from oil spills in the gulf and Fukushima radiation spreading worldwide, we don't have to wait for so called 'climate change' when we are under assault right now!
If these people feel so inclined to "fight climate change" they should stop using the internet, cars, eating food , and perhaps living in general.According to the official theory it is the existence of mankind that is causing "climate change" whatever the fuck that means. What a complete crock of shit this "news" station has become.
I am so glad I never donated to this BS liberal rag!
It is truly disappointing that there are so many scientifically illiterate people on the internet. Even on this site you find a bunch of scientifically illiterate climate change deniers who feel they have a right to speak without making any effort to first understand the science.
Maybe the elites know the end is near and they prefer to just party every day and exit happy.
climate change denier should pay
The cigarette-smoking man.
