  1. A leading climate expert and former White House advisor says the planet is rapidly approaching "a point of no return" – which could be as soon as 2030.

Dr. Christian Komor, 65, is sounding the alarm about the irreversible damage caused by carbon and other greenhouse gasses.

  2. And where are we now? Exactly where he said we'd be: worsening everything, and too late to pull it back. Hurricane Milton refusing to relinquish Cat. 5 status as he barrels towards Tampa, the populace fleeing for their lives, and this not 2 weeks after 'climate havens' in the Carolinas have been utterly annihilated.

  3. I remember when Al gore said we’d all be dead by now from melting glaciers. I’m sure that the climate changes it’s always changed but when we had dinosaurs it changed. Were they driving trucks? No it’s just natural that climate changes. That doesn’t mean it’s man made change it’s just what the climate does. We buildings like electric cars that sure they are great but not practical. Most people can’t afford to buy a battery if it fails even the cheapest ev’s replacement batteries cost 20-30k. Then when you have things like these hurricanes not only do you get your house damaged by sea water but it’s also gonna burn down. Sea water and lithium batteries make a big ole fire. I was a commissioned firefighter/medic for 12 years. Once those cars catch or at least the one I made (they weren’t as popular a few years ago when I was on the Job) Tesla’s once they catch are pretty much impossible to put out. Took us 6 hours and I can’t even imagine how much water we used. Then you’ve got the initial cost but they are cool and fast a shat. I’m not against but they aren’t a net positive. Then there’s all the different refrigerants the epa keeps changing. First we had R22/R12. They came up with a schedule called the Montreal protocol that phased out certain ozone depleting products. We phased out r22 which had a lower working pressure and cooled much better. Equipment also lasted longer. We now have R410a which we were told was much better and it was safe. The issue was you had to switch out most equipment if not entire systems when you lost a component bc R410a has a much higher working pressure meaning the r22 coils wouldn’t hold the pressure. That made pricing jump really high. You used to be able to afford to replace your ac without selling a kidney. Well now 2025 you get to look forward to getting rid of that “safe” R410a and look forward to a new r454B which requires all new equipment to even install or even check levels. At least with 410 you could use the same gauges. Now companies will have to buy different tools like vacuum pumps gauges etc bc and you’ll love this it’s flammable. Now if you don’t know you have a furnace and evaporator coil inside your house and a condenser on the outside. The condenser outside pumps the refrigerant into the evaporator coil which sits above the furnace. Evaporator coils leaks all the time due to age or faulty factory welds. Well this is where it gets good these evap coil is above that furnace and guess what that furnace has? Gas flames and I don’t know how they are going to keep it from burning down houses. Supposedly it will have a shut off if it leaks but will it matter if it’s already on fire? I don’t know. But regardless the epa does a lot of things that really don’t do more than cost people money. Think about diesel trucks. They have to put something called diesels exhaust fluid in them to make the exhaust less bad I guess that comes in a plastic jug and cardboard box. The amount of times you have to use that stuff and buy more plastic to discard is about 1-2 times a month with millions of diesel trucks. It also damages the truck as if recycled the soot back into the intake so it fills the engine with that junk making more trucks fail and it’s becomes a cycle. That is why so many illegally delete then. It also kills performance and gas mileage by a lot. When deleted some of these diesel trucks get 25-30mpg. That’s great for a 7k-10k lbs truck.

  4. You can't get morons to listen to doctors and scientists about saving their lives now. You really think people, and especially Americans, care about something that will happen in 50 years?

Look at all the anti-maskers who ended up dying from covid because Orange Julius told them there was nothing yo worry about. And the sad thing is they probably didn't even regret their choices as they died in agony, laboring for air.

  5. No one cares about climate change because the common person is much more concerned about where the next meal is going to come from. If we can fix our economy and the common person now has a future they can look forward to, it will be very easy to convince everyone to try and fix the climate. There is no point in giving mankind 30 more years on earth if the common guy is dead next week from hunger.

  6. "Clean coal", I still remember Obama saying those words. It was an attempt to get some people to vote for him, there is no such thing as "clean coal." Clean coal is just like harmless nerve gas. It does NOT exist.
