I became vegan because I am very worried about deforestation. Only 6% of soya is for humans (94% goes to cows, chickens, and other farm animals).
80% of deforested land in Brazil is used to graze cattle.
I also avoid palm oil where possible (e.g. when buying peanut butter, toiletries, and vegan burgers).
