Solar house – Is it the future of sustainable living?

We watched keenly as Swiss President Alain Berset played foosball with the President of Germany in the “Neighbour Hub”! The Presidents of neighbouring countries were there to encourage the work of the Swiss youth- the first prize-winning entry to an international competition for solar-designed houses.
Aptly named the Neighbour Hub, this is a real example of how we can decrease our energy consumption and demonstrate how inhabitants from a neighbourhood can behave sustainably, with sunlight, water, food and mobility.

Thank you #SmartLivingLab Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) ! Swiss Learning Exchange has #sustainability at the core of its values and it was fun to see this fully solar powered house. Congratulations Switzerland! Great team-work by the students, great collaboration and we hope this is only the beginning of the roads to a sustainable and clean future.Here is a short video of what we witnessed and understood!
