
Our generation is the last one that has the opportunity to take action to mitigate climate change and stop this environmental degradation before it is too late. It’s our future that’s being
decided but by others – by adults who would not live through that future. We, children and youth must have opportunities to
decide our own destiny Kehkashan is an 18-year-old Founder President of global youth sustainability organisation, Green Hope Foundation, which engages and empowers children and youth using education for sustainable development as a transformative tool. Her work on children’s rights, gender equality, environmental conservation and sustainability has directly impacted over 15,000 children and youth across 20 countries. She is the recipient of 2016 International Children’s Peace Prize and a United Nations Human Rights Champion, as well as one of Canada’s Top 25 Women of Influence and Toronto’s Top 8 Women Changemakers. Kehkeshan’s talk will push you to act on an important topic facing our global community.
