Disasters fueled by climate change, environmental degradation, conflicts, population growth and rapid urbanization will lead to rises in displacement, both internally and across borders. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) supports states to implement the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction adopted in 2015 by UN member states.
