英 BP 신임 CEO “2050년까지 탄소중립 달성하겠다”
BP’s new chief says the British energy giant will reduce its carbon footprint to reach a ‘net-zero’ goal by 2050.
During a speech Wednesday, CEO Bernard Looney said he would shrink the oil firm’s carbon footprint to net-zero by cutting more greenhouse gas emissions every year than produced by the whole of the UK.
He added BP needed to change to reach this goal.
He said BP will invest more in low-carbon businesses, and less in oil and gas over time.
