Nations United is a special, first of its kind film, created by the United Nations on its 75th Anniversary and to mark five years since the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals.
In the midst of a pandemic radically transforming our world, Nations United tells the story of the world as it is, as it was, and as it could be. It focuses on the solutions and action we need to tackle poverty, inequality, injustice and climate change.
Featuring the UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, Malala Yousafzai, Don Cheadle, Michelle Yeoh, Forest Whitaker, Thandie Newton, Sugata Mitra and an exclusive performance from Grammy nominated singer Burna Boy, and a new version of a previous UN performance by multi-Grammy award winning artist, Beyoncé.

What will it take to really DO something about climate change? When I was in high school in 1968 a band called Spirit wrote a song called Nature's Way that warned of what we were doing to the earth. And here we are, 56 years later, with some people still not believing what is happening, let alone fighting to change it. 😢

With climate change, only showing the "global" CO2 emissions is not good enough. It is important to be transparent about which nations are the LEADING emitters of GHG and holding THEM accountable. You cannot say we need to reduce "global GHG emissions" yet we know that if most Global North countries can reduce their emissions by more than half, is really what we need to change the current trajectory of climate change. But that won't happen, because it is a far more complex issue. We can plant trees all we want but for as long as the world's largest polluters do not change, this cause will be more about adapting than mitigating. I am so tired of hearing "global" this "global" that. NO! We KNOW the largest polluters. The narrative should be holding them accountable.
This is a completely one sided load of ideology and activism, desigbed to elicit emotion rather than common sense solutions. At times it implies the problems are worldwide, when in actual fact they are regional. On top of that it fails to actually engage with any of the wider issues other than "be an activist for something that you don't understand"! Uteer nonesense!
The UN must do better addressing human rights for LGBT.
