I am trying to talk the Tenderloin community into installing heat pumps and planting trees because no one has air conditioning here
Since the insurance industries (health insurance, fire insurance and flood insurance ) are impacted by climate change problems, and since insurers are large investors (of premium funds), have they noticed it would be in their interest to invest in transitioning away from fossil fuels? For example they could see leveraged benefits by investing in helping the makers of air conditioners, ramp up production of two way heat pumps that both heat and cool and thereby cut carbon emissions. Or invest in helping the water heater makers transition more of their manufacturing lines from gas water heaters to making clean efficient heat pump water heaters.
