Sky News Chief Anchor Kieran Gilbert says it is “inevitable” Prime Minister Scott Morrison is steering the nation toward net zero emissions by 2050 due to increasing international pressures.
Mr Gilbert said Mr Morrison is “gradually shifting the government direction to land in that spot”.
“He [Morrison] knows that with the UK pushing for greater ambition … and with Biden in the White House that’s where he needs to land,” he said.
