Driving innovation. You ever try to get a patent and hold it?, it is only for the very wealthy. I think the products we have now are stale, except for tech. We need ideas from every level not just what he rich dream up, rehashing the same garbage over and over, we need new ideas.

He's totally right. It's our collective responsibility to bring down the emissions. Tree cover should be increased in leaps & bounds, meat-dairy industry should be regulated, cleaner alternatives should be generated for automobile, power, electicity, transportation, manufacturing industries. Deforestation should stop, plant based agriculture should be promoted. Rivers & it's ecosystems should be protected across the globe for a sustainable planet. To achieve these things govts. have to take strong & unprecedented measures, there's no other way.

I confess I am less worried about climate change than the wound on Bill's front. What happened to him ?
If you want to solve climate change, you will need to find enough land to grow your own food and live mortgage free. The only sustainable world is one which does not rely on fossil fuels. Therefore, all agriculture must be done without tractors, pesticides, manufactured fertilizer, etc. Therefore, most of the human population will need to become organic farmers again. You cannot count on the government to do this for you. You yourself need to find a way to reconnect to the land, to not have kids, and to reduce your necessities so that they rely on minimal fossil fuel inputs. You need to reduce your expenses enough so that you completely or nearly eliminate your need for money and therefore work. The economy is the engine of destruction of the natural world so the best thing you can do for the planet is to engage with it as little as possible by spending as little as possible. Whether you do it or the government does it for you, this is the only path that will get you to a sustainable future.
