Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says not supporting a specific net zero emissions policy is a “consistent position” of the Nationals which the party should aim to make “pretty clear” won’t change.
“We have a consistent position in the Nationals party of not supporting a specific net zero emissions policy,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“That seemed to come as news to the press gallery here and perhaps the nation last week when my colleague Keith Pitt just simply espoused that policy of the party room – and we need to make sure those views are pretty clear.
“This is a really serious issue for us when you look at some of the modelling or some of the estimates – we could lose tens of thousands of jobs in regional Australia if we glibly pursue such a policy.”

A) how are all these other energy options produced?
B) If you commit to net zero, where will power and energy come from?
C) What happens in the case of natural disaster?
D) Recently there was a crash of an electric vehicle in California. It required over 27,000 gallons of water to put that one vehicle fire out because of the materials in the battery etc. What would happen 8f multiple vehicles were caught up as happens from time to time?

Not one scientist in the world can explain that millions of years ago on earth, how was there up to 1000x times more carbon dioxide in the earths atmosphere during an ice age where temperatures were way colder than today? This is clear evidence that carbon dioxide doesn’t drive climate change.
How are they going to manufacture solar panels and wind farms with no emissions? There are over 80 elements in solar panels and you need steel to manufacture wind farms which is produced from coal.

Just to give one example, the report indicates that to achieve the necessary solar electricity component to be on track by 2030 a solar park equal to the size of the world’s current largest solar park needs to be completed EVERY DAY for the next eight years.
The whole notion of 'net-zero by 2050' is just a total fiction pushed to the uninformed by lying politicians who know they won't be in office in 2050 so are quite happy to say whatever to gain or retain office.
