Concerned by the increase in natural disasters on a global scale, a team of Mila researchers developed the site ThisClimateDoesNotExist.com, an AI-driven experience based on empathy that allows users to visualize the impacts of the climate crisis anywhere on the planet. Over two years in the making and under the supervision of Yoshua Bengio, lead researchers include Sasha Luccioni, Victor Schmidt and Alex Hernandez-Garcia.
