If the Coalition signs up to net zero by 2050, they have essentially “conceded that Labor and the Greens were right all along on climate and energy,” according to columnist Tom Switzer.
“In 2019, Scott Morrison won the election that year primarily by opposing Labor’s costly climate mitigation policy,” Mr Switzer told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Now it appears that Morrison and the Liberals recognise the Greens and Labor were right.”
It comes as the Coalition is discussing climate policy as Australia faces increased pressure to sign up to a net zero emissions by 2050 target ahead of the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.

* Satellite observations reveal that 6,100 billion tonnes of ice has melted from mountain glaciers since 1994.
* This is not caused by 11 year sunspot cycles or volcanoes or 26,000+ year Milankovitch cycles.
* It is mostly caused by the burning of coal, oil and gas.

fossil fuels connect the world and has brought more people out of poverty with being able to travel to work than any green tech to date. Lithium no problem, Cobalt mined out of Africa with child slave labor so far and the green people say nothing about that. Everyone wants green, to do that lets see at least something green that works. Wind and solar are unreliable. Electric cars? better put a gas generator in the trunk. Not a science denier, history show us weather was much more volatile in the past and we are in a cooling trend for quite some time now. NOAA and NASA will say the opposite, they also tamper with data and historical weather charts to suit their narrative, look at who pays them. To say climate change is an emergency has yet to be proven. Ever wonder why big green house owners pump Co2 at 1500pm ? Because the plants grow more lush and at a quicker rate ,which means you sell more in a shorter time= Profits.
