Sky News host Andrew Bolt says “you are being conned” when it comes to the Prime Minister’s net zero by 2050 plan.
It comes as Prime Minister Scott Morrison has officially committed Australia to net zero by 2050, revealing the plan with Emissions Reduction Minister Angus Taylor on Tuesday.
“So this net zero plan is not going to cost you a cent, in fact it will make you money, says the government, at the very same time it is actually spending your money, billions,” Mr Bolt said.
“You realise you’re being conned of course, don’t you?
“This is so embarrassing. It’s Australia today. Seriously are you buying the Prime Minister’s spin today?”

it's actually entirely possible that a net zero plan would make Australians money. The amount of work that needs to go into providing energy through alternate means far exceeds the amount of work required to provide energy through coal, simply because coal is the easiest energy source. Extra work should equal extra money in the hands of Australians. However we can't deny how much money we make from coal exports, so the plan does seem quite floored. Are we going to continue to export coal and say that the emmisions are counted to the country that burns it? who knows, nothing is clear in Australia anymore. All our politicians forgot how to communicate directly, always providing some sort of means in there speech in which they can weasel there way through a loophole when things don't go as planned. Which is invariably what will happen.
can bolt explain why actually cutting emissions is worse than saying you're going to and not delivering? Cutting emissions isn't such a bad thing if there is the proper technology to support it
It’s not much of a plan when promises are made that cannot be backed up. How can Scott Morrison deliver any promise at what will happen in the year 2050, when he has no mandate to be Prime Minister in 29 years time in the year 2050? Unless he is Nostradamus, how can we know if this net zero plan is nothing but fantasy and lies! It is all talk and more lies and promises that cannot be kept.

Andrew Bolt needs to look at the PIOMAS Arctic Sea Ice Volume, Fig 3. He also needs to look at Earth's Ice Imbalance by Thomas Slater et al. Global warming is not a lie.
The Summer Arctic Sea Ice volume declined by an alarming 75% from 1979 to 2019.

Factually Technology was a Major Contributor to Human caused Climate Change Via the Fossil Fuel Industries. Hence the Methodology of Technology is Well Known, Something Good from the Fossil Fuel Corporations.
