Prime Minister Scott Morrison will take a firm 2050 net zero commitment and an updated emissions projection for 2030 to the Glasgow climate summit.
Mr Morrison made the announcement on Tuesday as he unveiled his government’s long-awaited plan to achieve the mid-century target.
He said the plan put forward would “get the balance right” between protecting jobs and industries through energy transition.
