Here in 2024. No drastic measures have been taken yet. Lots of people still say "things" but nothing real is being done. Super-Power countries already at war over food, land and access to resources. Far right parties have won elections all over Europe for the first time in decades. Not long now.
If humans have proven one thing. . .it's that we never make any attempt as a society to fix major issues until it effects us personally. . .problem with climate change is that if it finally reaches that point in the west. . . It's too late. I'm in the west, sitting in my nice air conditioned house, drinking clean bottled water and comfortable even though it's 95 degrees F outside. By the time I feel extreme discomfort, it will be because of food shortages and power grid failure. Problem is, I'm one of only a few aware of my privilege
What am I supposed to do about it? Talk to China. They're not going to stop making money just because it's burning up the atmosphere. The CHINESE government needs to do something.

I’ll see this before I die I think. I was born in 2000. Oh well. It will be a shame to lose all the natural beauty I grew up with in California. It will hurt to tell my grandkids about.
