I'm not keen on abandoning industrialization and upending social order just because glaciers have receded a bit in the past few decades.
I get the cause but at present the average person can't actually afford an electric vehicle while we're at the mercy of China and India.
I'd actually wait a few decades for the technology to actually get there. We'll live.
We aren't far off from seeing these natural wonders via film or VR glasses only
Went to Jökulsárlón in 2019 and the boat tour guide said at the rate of climate change the entire glacier will disappear in about a 150 years. So we really do only have a few generations that will be able to see the spectacular site that it is. Even when I was there the boat had to travel pretty far in to see the edge of the glacier. Iceland takes really good care of their natural features, putting in infrastructure (paths, restrooms, hotels) to handle the tourists. Stay on the paths, don't leave trash, all commonsense steps to protect it.
What happen if under the earth ground the Cruel Oil is like the Car engine oil absorbing the heat from the Sun ray heat, have over dig over consumed, end result short of cruel oil under the ground absorbing the Sun Ray heat ?
