  1. India contributes 6.6% CO2 emissions to World; not just fossil fuels but use of burning dead bodies over wood Daily for Hindu religious rituals needs introspection for pollution CO2 – sjsrana

  2. I'm going to go India soon I hope. Gf dad from bengal, I realise bit history there. He studied to be a doctor in small apartment building. 7 brothers. Mind boggling. Two came to UK. My gf now a Gp but not happy with NHS gov ect. So live life

  3. Global warming is the gift of 3 centuries of industrialisation and war by western nations .

India is not the biggest contributor by any stretch .So stop bullying.
These media running behind a small shop using coal tells the hypocrisy.

  4. Well if kolkata city planners knew how to build stuff we wouldn't be having this problem. Kolkata is literally a maze at this point. Zero open spaces and alleys everywhere.

It's not that the region is hot. West Bengal is cooler than many other states. Go to city edge and there is a difference of heaven and earth. The city itself traps heat because of poor air flow.

  5. 2070 as a target for Net-Zero is absolutely ridiculous, it shouldn't take 48 years to make this happen.
People like the ones processing coal could be trained to help manufacture or install Solar Panels, Wind-Turbines, build the Gigfactories that will be needed for the country.
Planting more trees, constructing loads of Carbon Capture facilities to reverse the damage this nation has done to the environment.

Considering India is one of the worst culprits in it's pollution that effects the entire planet they should be setting targets at least 20 years sooner than that and make proper plans to make a major change sooner.
    Absolutely disgusting.

  6. Lol, they care less about how developed nations like uk,us Australia would achieve net zero by 2050. They can't ask their governments to stop subsidizing fossil fuels but always get some way to criticize india for their climate issues
The hypocrisy of the wests never dissapoints me.

  7. The industrial revolution is a plaque we liked the old way we all could have been more strong . Now everyone is weak can't handle bacteria , flu my grandparents were strong. 😳
