  1. If coal is what you have then you dig and burn coal. If someone is telling you not to do, make sure he offers alternative otherwise tell him/them to buck off. Simple.

  2. Australia need to REPURPOSE the use of coal. Japan has been importing coal for the longest time. Volume may not be as high as burning coal, but…COAL is the BEST filter for water that can and should replace paper filters, chlorine in water, alkalinizing water instead of using chemicals, etc.

PLAN ahead to replace the phase out WITHOUT loosing critical jobs. Just a slightly different product use while keeping same material.

  3. Get over it … coal has to go. Those still hanging on are dinosaurs. Re skill, re educate and get a new job somewhere else doing something else.

  4. Digging coal out of the ground is now "manufacturing". . . hA ha Ha Ha ha HA Ha ha ha, next Sky will tell us that the Slomo Government has grown the Australian manufacturing sector. . .

  5. You’re better off burning coal for the next 1000 years then digging all the shit out the ground to make all the solar panels that’s gonna destroy the world quicker

  6. Look sky, idk if you know this, but our power bills are insane, we are in debt, wages stagnant, we are behind across the board for technology from infrastructure to even basic living and hospital equipment, we are living well beyond our means as it is. These mines barely get taxed. They will be fine. Australia is literally decaying, if we keep heading the way we are, whilst making no progress or keeping our infrastructure up to date. We are going to end up like brazil. And you only have the LNP to blame.

  7. This is just a scare campaign. Many many jobs in 2021 will not exist in 20 years time. Many of the current coal miners will continue to have their jobs into retirement. The issue is ensuring the next generation is prepared and skilled but this isn’t happening tomorrow.

  8. It doesn't matter if we shut down coal fired power plants. Australia doesn't burn much coal anyway. Global demand for coal will only increase, which is great news for the coal mining sector.

  9. Can't you just re train people? Or are they just stuck in their ways? What a bunch of Muppets. Surely the horse and carriage people didn't just moan and cry when cars came along.. they adapted with the times

  10. Well the coal miners can thank the LNP for oh did the Miner's vote for the LNP. The LNP have had their head stuck in the sand and listening to the happy clappers in their ranks. God will save us all oh only if you believe in the sky genocidly sky god.
