  1. Fossil fuels are fantastic.

Mankind’s use of fossil fuels is supremely virtuous—because human life is the standard of value, and because using fossil fuels transforms our environment to make it wonderful for human life. Our modern industrial society is built on the ability to access cheap, reliable, and plentiful energy.

Coal, natural gas, and nuclear are the only cheap, reliable, and plentiful sources of energy available to us. There are two problems with solar and wind, the diluteness problem, and the intermittency problem.

the sun and the wind don’t deliver concentrated energy, which means you need a lot of materials per unit of energy produced. For solar, such materials can include highly purified silicon, phosphorus, boron, and compounds like titanium dioxide, cadmium telluride, and copper indium gallium selenide. Plus the large amount of land required to generate large amounts of solar power.

For wind, rare earth metals such as neodymium, as well as tonnes of steel and concrete are used to build the turbines. The bottom line is that solar and wind require so many resources per megawatt of energy generation.

But the even bigger problem is intermittency. We know that the sun doesn't shine all the time, and at the same intensity all the time. The same can be said for wind. And the technology to store large enough amounts of energy, to use during down times, has not been invented.

So since solar and wind aren't reliable enough to generate all of our energy requirements all the time they need to be backed up by coal and natural gas. But having an intermittent source of energy in the grid creates another issue. During moments of high energy generation from solar and wind, too much energy can cause blackouts. Coal and natural gas power plants need to be turned on and off. In reality this amounts to having an inefficient stop and go electricity grid. Thanks to the unpredictable and unreliable nature of solar and wind.

The title of renewable is miss leading. Only one input is renewable, the sun, or the wind. How about the other inputs, and how long will they last. Turbines and solar panels are physical structures, they degrade over time.

Energy is a life and death issue, access to cheap and constant electricity is very important. It is irresponsible to deprive ourselves of fossil fuels, in favour of speculative experiments with solar and wind. The intractable problems with solar and wind have not been adequately addressed by their proponents.

As for fossil fuels, what are the risks, and what are the benefits of using them. For too long all I've heard about is the risks.

Do fossil fuels contribute to climate change. I say yes. A better question is, how does fossil fuel use affect climate liveability? There are two impacts we need to weigh. The first is the impact of CO2 on the climate. It is a greenhouse gas with a warming impact, and CO2 is also plant food.

The greenhouse effect is a proven fact. An important question is what is the magnitude of the effect? And how does additional CO2 change the effect? It turns out that the greenhouse effect is a diminishing or decelerating phenomena—every molecule of CO2 you add to the system would be less potent than the last.

So far every prediction of future drastic climate change has been based on computer models. All the models have been wrong. The climate is incredibly complicated. Most models are based on the idea that CO2 is a powerful driver of climate change. But as CO2 has increased dramatically, there have been relatively mild periods of warming, cooling, and now flattening.

The greenhouse effect is a scientific truth. But it should not be equated with speculative projections of climate catastrophe from bad models. It is the duty of climate scientists to clearly describe what they know, and what they don't know. And what are the positives, and negatives of more CO2 in the atmosphere.

To be continued… I've had enough of typing today.

  2. the world government of the antichrist is near but through Jesus Christ we have salvation believing by faith

believing in the place where you are. read in the bible Romans 10: 9 and 10

    John 14: 6, John 1:12, Acts 4:12

  3. Heart attacks, Strokes, blood clots, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Bell's palsy, pneumonia, worsening existing conditions including cancer and death. What do you think is causing it? Knowing that answer will most likely save your life.
If you don't know these following names, they explained how safe the shots are. Former vice president of Pfizer Dr Michael Yeadon, inventor of mRNA technology Dr Robert Malone, World Health Organization whistleblower Dr Astrid Stuckleberger, dr. Bhakdi who explains the vaccine function in detail and exactly how it works in your body.
Klaus Schwab is Biden's Puppet Master. Biden brings the great reset into the back door of the United States. You will lose your homes, cars, cash, culture, every thing will be affected by what he is doing. You will no longer be free, you will starve, you suffer, you will be attacked, raped, and murdered. The global Elites call it the great reset, Biden calls it build back better and green New Deal. The rest of us call it the New World Order. If you already know this please wake up everyone you can reach. We are running out of time.

  4. It ain’t our freakin problem, we all recycle and reuse for years hey? does your military and government workers? Show them eating bugs and living on the streets for not kneeling to the mandate , gain our trust, because right now, we trust nothing and no one

  5. If we keep on the wind and solar path Australia will be bankrupt in no time. Overseas conglomerates take the subsidies and run. Even modern coal and gas plants make more sense, but the reality is we should be looking seriously at nuclear energy. We are the only so call developed nation on the planet that doesn't have it.

  6. Australia cant afford the facilities nor the long refinement process for the matierals, i think its an awesome idea for Australia to go nuclear but it should of done it years ago way before the pandemic, but thats thanks to the veggy banging greens who spend all of thier 300+ million on advertising and kiddy protests rather than planting trees and building carbon scrubers. Nuclear energy would of solved alot of problems.

  7. How about we actually use the energy we sell to others, which is high quality, instead of getting rid of the few power stations we have. We should be building more power stations, not depending on Communist China for solar panels and wind farms that are a environmental hazard. All this so called 'green energy' needs base power to function and for backup, including hydro. This is madness, we don't want a leader to appease the opposition but one that ridiculous their ridiculous ideas and has the backbone to do what the nation needs.

  8. We won't be using lithium in batteries by 2050, sodium battery tech is fast approaching. Lithium battery production is destructive to the environment.

  9. Liz II cornered the market on depleted uranium, has $17 trillion in her personal BOE Nominee account, so this is her great trick! How sinister, and so very unsafe, you require elec to run a nuclear power plant and when the light go out, the nation is POISONED forever

  10. It really is time everybody woke up to the fact if you want zero emissions you simply can’t scrap all mining and you can’t rely just on things like wind and power generation because it simply doesn’t work that way. Australia should have already dumped the nuclear moratorium and adopted a nuclear power generation capability.

  11. It infuriates me that nuclear power has such a bad name because of the Soviet Union’s oppression and incompetence and one unlucky event in Japan.

Coal has killed thousands of times more people than nuclear. The fumes from combustion of coal causes respiratory failure with chronic exposure.
Modern Nuclear reactors are incredibly safe but more care needs to be taken as to where reactors are placed. They should not be placed in highly geologically active areas.

  12. Door was always open to Nuclear Energy the construction and commissioning of Lucas Heights it just required a forward thinking Government to bring the Australian people along, Now we have a second chance to move forward our nuclear submarines AUKUS and take another leap into history and gain our Strategic Power Supply that is required to fore-fill the dreams and aspirations of our nation or instead of the destruction of Our Natural world that so called renewable energy By its very design is to strip mine the planet and the waste of production and disposal of toxic waste no recycling has ever been achieved on any goods .. what we have seen is Fires at recycling plants the historical choice has arrived some want a royal commission this is a total waste of public taxpayers wealth bi partisan support from Labor Greens questionable.. only by referendum the true Will of the Australian people can be measured
