You can already see the effects of net zero policies at the petrol pump, says Nationals Senator Matt Canavan.
“Every time you go fill up – just think about the costs of radical climate action,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“We are paying more for petrol because a bunch of countries like ourselves that have signed up to net zero emissions have made it harder for companies to invest and drill for oil.
“The world is more dependent on oil from the Middle-East and Russia and they are restricting supply – and that’s what’s pushing the price up – they’re restricting supply because it makes more money.”

High fuel prices are good for a government that relies on taxes to feast upon. The higher the prices – the more money they get. It's why government smiles at high prices. They get their money anyway.
