  1. This was initially caused by a underwater volcano near Tonga. The volcano caused a tsunami which hit an oil tanker that was off loading in peru. Peruvian government didn't send out a warning about the increased wave activity so the ship in question didn't know to be prepared. So this was a natural disaster coupled with lack of governmental warning that led to the spill. In this case I don't blame the company, buy more the government because they didn't give out the warning so the oil tanker would be able to take safety precautions and not be unloading oil when the waves hit.
All this took was less then 5 minutes of searching to find out. This channel needs to do better at reporting and actually calling out the real reasons for issues and not what their agenda says it should be.

  2. I heard him say 'National' disaster, so not sure why all the text says 'Natural'.
As certainly not Natural as it was not a sudden rupture of on Oil seam under the sea, considering talking about barrels.

  3. Anything but NATURAL. The responsible for this ecocide that's affecting lots of population depending on handicraft fishing, is rejecting to rush into using the most advanced technology to according to law take responsibility of their desastrous actions. That company name that should be punished not only economically but with a worlwide shame is the spanish REPSOL.

  4. An earthquake broke the pipeline, then the president tried to give “food baskets” to the families that were affected, like fishermen, etc.
Then the government close the biggest oil refinery in the country (40% of the gas in Peru came from there and was owned by the same company that caused this) The gas prices skyrocketed to 20 soles (I believe the conversion now is like 1 U.S. Dollar = 3.89 soles).
We’re in a political crisis, we had like 5 different minister cabinets in under 6 months, people are losing jobs, the capital city, Lima, is in state of emergency because the crime rates are in a all time high.
If you want to show the reality about Peru, what problems are in Peru, what’s the reality in Peru, please show all of it.

  5. So sad, more pollution in the ocean, poor sea life, many will died. 11000 barrels into the ocean, how could they. They should be charged for what they did. This just is so upsetting as there is so much garbage in ocean already and no one cares. Hopefully they will clean the oil asap. I tired of people pollutioning the world. We have one planet. If mankind would respect this beautiful world and plant we like in, that would be amazing, but no one seems to care, so disappointed.
