When he signed us up to ending coal fired generators, should he not have in tandem introduced a realistic replacement to that capacity rather than committing us to being reliant on imports? Of that, 97% is naturally occurring from things like volcanic activity.
So humans are responsible for 3% of 0.04%, or 0.0012% and there has never been any PROOF that links this to global warming, only conjecture based on dodgy data. The UK is responsible for just 1% of man made Co2 emissions or 0.000012% of total Co2, will the UK cutting to zero really make a difference? There will still be 99.999988% of the total Co2 going in to the atmosphere?
China is responsible for 25% of all man-made carbon emissions and has 23 of the 25 most polluting cities in the world, and due to expanding manufacturing estimates their carbon emissions will increase further. The UK only has 1 coal fired power station, Germany on the other hand has just opened their 30th, and China, India and Russia have 4000 between them, and counting.
If we weren't so over populated then it wouldn't be an issue. What happened to wood fires and Cole? Oh I know the government couldn't make enough money from us that way so they make us dependent on them for everything not just energy.
So I agree with everything however it’s not just a case of energy production but the efficiency of that production. Currently to cope with the unreliability of renewals gas power stations are required to ramp up and down quickly, completely tanking their efficiency. We need to be able to smooth the supply curve through large scale storage solutions to allow gas power stations to run more efficiently and allow nuclear to also take up the slack
Mahyar at the end of the day NATO led by the USA start wars and we follow suit because we like demonising Russia. I believe if Ukraine joins NATO the missiles will kill 80% of Russians. Putin is defending his country as NATO do not want to recognise the Minsk (verbal) gentleman agreement. Putin is helping us and is dead against the WEF. I have many friends in the Ukraine in the Russian speaking side and they are marginalised because they can only speak Russian.

We should stop not zero until Russia China USA and India start getting there emissions down to a level to what we are now, until then we should continue using everything. Period. Nationalism look after our own people in the UK first and I mean every person in the UK.
We just need to relearn how to build nuclear power stations and not rely on other countries to build and operate them for us.
