  2. If free people could unite against fascism in WWII (and go without things in the process), we could mobilize here too. It starts with us making better choices and demanding the same from big business and policymakers.

  3. We won't be able to address the climate crisis unless we overthrow capitalism! Only when humanity as a whole is in control of its destiny, and the 1% whose raison d'être is profit is expropriated, only then can we make really democratic decisions.

  4. This is what I’m taking from this. Even though I’ve struggled with employment and housing insecurity for the last ten years, I’ve still managed to create massive progress understanding and treating my disabilities. I’ve gotten my Adhd diagnosed and I’m not fully medicated regularly. My sleep patterns have improved drastically and I’m finally in a permanent housing setting. My situation is still serious because there are still many things about my life that don’t work. But I’m in a stronger position than I ever have been before and I’m capable of doing much from here on. There is hope and I will probably be ok.

  5. Be ahead of Nature = Clean up the Deserts And Re-Seed that land 999,999,999,999,999,999 Seeds planted around the entire World. And then Get People =Hired creating Work to Clean up The Burnt Forests And Re-Seed. And plant as many Trees. Vegetation as POSSIBLE THEN DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN = THATS HOW YOU FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE 2060 NEXT ONE

  6. Over the last few years, as the earths orbit gets closer and closer to the sun, it gets hotter. Wow! Getting close to the sun makes the earth hotter! The best part is when it shows solar panels and windmills like they are better for the environment lol. 6:21 good 25x more people are hurting the environment.

  7. This video is so powerful. Thank you for showing us that there is hope, and showing us just how far we've come rather than what there is still to do. You've spread a message – a good one – that we have got this, the world won't end and we've already done so much. Probably the most important video I've seen all year.

  8. Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
    Matthew 6:19-21

  9. This is bullshit propaganda. Electricity is generally created by burning coal and fuel the deforestation of rain forest like the Congo in pursuit of the resources needed to build batteries which are more toxic than gasoline because it takes more coal burning and strip mining

  10. Nuclear power? Still nowhere to put the waste. In your back yard? That waste will last far longer than fossil fuel emissions. The answer? Stop using so much power! And having so many babies. Mosquitos are solving that problem.

  11. Don’t want to end up living in a cave? Sustainability won’t cut other Neither will resilience. Massive self control is needed – stop expecting a Western level of prosperity. Stop having babies. Stop using so much energy. Recovery, requires huge sacrifice.

  12. Hopeless is not the problem. The belief that we can continue with anything like our current level of consumption is the problem. Technology got us into this mess, it will not save us, it will only make it worse by presenting new, bigger problems. Only self control will save us. That is where my hope comes from.

  13. I’m old (74) and have done my share of conspicuous consumption – 5 trips to Yellowstone, 5 to Death Valley is enough. Pare back your bucket list, starting with the Galapagos (that wildlife wonder doesn’t need any more tourist pressure). Self control, people!

  14. this is great news but.. i was hoping that such an apocalyptic situation would lead people into understanding why we shouldn't be ok with capitalist society. now we get to be happy, but we can't forget who did this, why they did it, and that they stopped because it hurt their wallets. this was not for us and they are not with us. i'm glad we can hope for something a little better, though. <3

  15. How can you "fix" a naturally occuring cycle on this planet? You would only screw things up, trying. This current climate change is part of an 80,000 year cycle of glaciation and retreat of ice caps. We have evidence that this has happened 4 times previous to this one, in exactly the same way, over the past 400,000 years. What is really going on is fear-mongering in order to force compliance by those who believe they have a "natural" and aristocratic "right" to rule this planet, for their benefit, simply because they have the wealth to do so. If you liberals weren't so intellectually lazy and neurotic, you'd break free of the programming and throw off the bonds of fear that have been laid on you.

  16. Back in 2000, Al Gore stated that we had only 12 years in which to act, or we were doomed. Well, here we are, 24 years later, still arguing over the same bullshit rhetoric. Meanwhile, Al Gore has become a multimillionaire, selling his "green energy" scheme to the gullible and terminally stupid.

  17. "As an hadith says, 'If the Hour (the Day of Judgment) is about to be established, and one of you has a palm seedling in his hand, let him plant it.'(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 12902). This speaks to maintaining hope and continuing to act positively, even in the most difficult situations.

It's a beautiful reminder that no matter the challenges we face, especially with climate change, there’s always room for positive action and care for the environment. Instead of losing hope, we can keep striving for a better future, knowing that our efforts to nurture and protect the planet have value.
