  1. Venus is not inhabitable. Earth can end up the same way. Please stop saying "It's okay if we start commiting terrorism or fighting our brothers for food, some monkeys will evolve after us!".

You present no solution, nor really call for a change, your nihilism is harmfull.

  2. Vaush might need to be careful, he's edging a bit close to fedposting. Arguing the merits of direct action against pollution sources will bring the baleful eyes of the 3 letter agencies.

  3. When industrial breakdown comes to fertilizer production, pesticide production, and international trade, there are going to be famines on a new scale that make the Great Leap Forward look like the result of just another chinese civil war. So much of the "Green Revolution" is propelled by manufactured plant nutrition, and that depends on … OIL as a feedstock for hydrocarbons and sulfur. Speaking of China, the PRC is the world leader in rock phosphorous production (also necessary for modern agriculture). Reductions in that trade will hurt other countries in growing even cereal grains to feed their people (leaving out livestock for a moment).

  4. That's such a good point. EVERYONE in human history has suffered, but the fact that we exist right now means we overcame it. Now its our turn, and we are GOING to push forward. <3

  5. You know what Vaush, you're absolutely right! I love paying 10$ a gallon in gas after we ban devil fracking. I also believe transporting oil safely in environmentally approved pipelines is racist and oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon at 15% isn't and it's better to pay $billions$ for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher, or fish here in America. We don't care about the beetles, gophers, or fish in those other countries. Who needs coal to make steel when we have all this straw from our strawmen!? I also believe we should pull on taxpayers heartstrings to feel obligated to fork over their cash for subsidies on intermittent energy systems that won't do much for climate change and will never pay for itself in our lifetimes! How can we stop climate change? By banning the best solution to it of course! Who needs nuclear energy anyway? The sun we want to emulate is far away for a reason and that is because it's so dangerous it only exists in outer space! We should also immediately fill foreign beauracrats pockets with our tax dollars to whine about our meat diets and coal exports while not even following their own environmental regulations!

  6. According to CDC, more people die from excessive cold than excessive heat. If we start to eco terrorize "polluters" while banning wood heating, even more people will die from cold. This is why people like Vaush who has lived his entire life in California shouldn't open a mouth how people in Alaska try to survive

  7. There needs to be a sign up sheet bor believers and non-believers in climate change. If you are on the don't believe list you will be in line for less positive treatment and access to resources when it comes to that point. If we don't no one will admit they were part of the delay in getting any repairs done. So food, energy and other necessry elements to modern living may well be cut from this harmful group.

  8. "… after enough humans die, industrial production will slow down."

Oh, but a container filled with gas – on which a sun shines – doesn't stop getting warmer when you stop putting greenhouse gas in it. (You have to get rid of it.)

  9. It now tome for big ideas to quickly tweak climate. Tonga volcano caused water vapor high above where it can circulate out. How about thermoacoustics to change the vibration of water vapor canceling the greenhouse effect.

  10. imo thunderfoot has the best take on climate change. People know about climate change and because of that there's a discussion about deliberate geo engineering and that discussion is going to get more and more desperate until some1 starts doing that. Things like pumping heaps of areosols in the atmosphere so it reflects more light or some stuff like that.
