Such an important and chilling essay. In microcosm I was lectured to by my teenage granddaughter recently about how we are destroying the world and what should be done about it. I asked what she personally was doing about it apart from talk. Nothing of course. So I asked her to give me her iPhone as a tangible gesture of her sincerity. Guess what? It’s always someone else’s place to do something about these things it seems. Thank you for framing this in terms that we can use to push back. I’m now 70 and won’t be affected by the tyranny of the WEF etc, but I will never stop pushing back on behalf of my children and grandchildren.

I reject the idea that the Globalist/Collectivists have "an existential terror" regarding "Climate Change", and the corollary idea that they have merely chosen an incorrect or destructive course of action – that is, that they are simply overreacting to a real and present danger.
There is no real and present danger from "Climate Change", man made or natural.
The "problem" has been created by the same political class (university Marxists) as the "solution." And their proposed "solution" is another way of inflicting Global Communism on the people of the world.

The flaw in this argument is that it is grossly too logical and truthful. Politicians and academics have been too well trained to spot and negate such attempts at canceling the ideological Eden they all blindly believe in. None of the IPCC predictions in the last 35 years has come true, or even close to happening. Certainly, continued belief can be nothing less than a cult mentality.
