Man can't fix what man didn't cause, there is no climate crisis. The entire climate change movement is an excuse for an additional governmental revenues stream under the guise of climate change. In the geological history there has been no consistent correlation between CO2 and earth's temperature. At times the CO2 levels were higher than it is today and we were stuck in very cold conditions. But if environmentalists get their way, you won't be able to burn anything for heating or cooking, you can't use anything made from plastic, you will have to walk everywhere you go, in leather shoes, oh wait, cow farts, so you can't have cows, so no leather. You will have to give up all modern transportation methods, your cell phone, computer, game consoles and your flat screens, and solar panels. Going to the doctor or the hospital, having an operation or the dentist isn't going to be a pleasant experience because those environments are loaded with plastic. And, in the end, nothing will change.
Now some facts.
According to new ice core data, 100,000 years ago the earth's past climate was warmer than todays. The NEEM ice core drilling project in Greenland showed the past was warmer than previously thought. But how much warmer? 8 degrees warmer and CO2 levels were 240 ppm, 173 ppm lower than now. Going back 40 million years, we find CO2 levels twice what they are now with no human involvement whatsoever. When people talk about climate change and high CO2 levels, they always point to Venus saying, there's the proof that, high atmospheric CO2 causes high temperatures. But what about mars? Mars has virtually the same CO2 content as Venus, yet is 89° below zero. The difference? Atmospheric density and proximity to the Sun. Venus's atmosphere is 100 times denser than Earths and 3,000 times denser than Mars. And if Earth had the same atmospheric density as Venus at minimum its surface temperature would be 662°. Now the truth.
Changes in local weather is not evidence of climate change, changes in climate, not weather are driven by the Milinkovich Cycles.* The Milankovitch cycles describe how relatively slight changes in Earth's tilt affect the planet's climate. In 1976, a study in the journal Science, showed deep-sea sediment cores found the Milankovitch cycles correspond with periods of major climate change over the past 450,000 years, with Ice Ages and warming periods occurring when Earth was undergoing different stages of orbital variation, so stop listening to Al Gore and understand what it is really about. Justification for government taxation through the guise of a carbon tax to save the planet from "man-made" climate change, man didn't cause and man can't fix.
* The Milankovitch cycles.
From NASA. Today, the Earth's axis is tilted 23.5 degrees from the plane of its orbit around the sun. But this tilt changes. During a cycle that averages about 40,000 years, the tilt of the axis varies between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees. Because this tilt changes, the seasons as we know them can become exaggerated. More tilt means more severe seasons—warmer summers and colder winters; less tilt means less severe seasons—cooler summers and milder winters. It's the cool summers that are thought to allow snow and ice to last from year-to-year in high latitudes, eventually building up into massive ice sheets. There are positive feedbacks in the climate system as well, because an Earth covered with more snow reflects more of the sun's energy into space, causing additional cooling.

Climate change is much more disputed and foggy science than people are led to believe. A lot of the climate extremism and gloom and doom is actually based on computer modeling projections, not hard science. Computer modeling is intrinsically unreliable because it requires scientists to make assumptions about various inputs — assumptions that may well be wrong. And there is a tendency for the scientists to choose a number that results in the outcome that they favor. No public policy which damages people like the Green New Deal does should ever be based on such "science".
