The 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – COP27 was recently held in Egypt. It is the fifth time COP has been hosted in Africa, one of the world’s regions that is most vulnerable to climate change.
As the world is seeing a growing energy crisis, record greenhouse gas concentrations, and increasing extreme weather events, COP27 sought to renew solidarity between countries, to ensure that the goals and terms of the Paris Agreement are adhered to for people and the planet.
