The forest in Goa is burning, and due to strong winds and higher temperatures, this fire is further flaming in the state. The fire department is also talking about climate change. In Goa, it is recorded as the hottest February on record. The temperature in Goa has risen by 5 degrees in the last few days, reaching a high of 38.4 degrees. In this environmental issue of climate change, several panellists participated and gave their opinions. Sandeep Parker, an environmentalist, says that ” it’s a conspiracy and a complete manmade disaster”.On the other hand, one of the panellists Maneck Contractor Prominent Goa Citizen Voice, says, “God has ideal conditions for ignition of forest fires”.

The fires are deliberate, and it's quite a no. of days it's going on rapidly everywhere in Goa, don't you think by now the Goa Government who seems to be lagging, should have started forming volunteer groups in each and every village or vaddo or any corner of Goa to fight or even take proactive steps to prevent the start of a fire. The disaster management seems to be on paper, even the Biodiversity committees are lacking in any planning.
Therefore without mincing words I will say that the state govt is certainly complicit in the start of the forest fires.
Sandeep Parkar has rightly said that it could be a conspiracy of the land mafia or to do away with the wild life sanctuary.
