Government has a 20-year plan. Yet in about 7 years we will hit the 1.5C rise that environmentalists said would be a disaster, and in about 17 years we will hit the 2C rise, that the IPCC has said could lead to the end of civilization, as we know it! So, as per normal, too little, too slow.

I live in a street where other slanted blocks of flats have solar panelling for this very reason though they reduced how much the users got back, so what's the point if they do this!
As for my block they'd rather get rid of rubbish chutes and have one central bin, even if some tenant are 'Disabled' and can't walk there instead of putting solar panels on ours.
When this Government actually sees the reality that they don't know about these things and pays attention maybe they'll get it right!!!!!

Reading a great book right now called "It's The Sun Not Us" by L D. den Boer who is a Geoscientist and Professional Geophysicist. He goes through all the historical data on different gases, Milankovitch Cycles, CO2 causing plants to grow larger and faster, concentration of atmospheric CO2 over thousands of years, fossil furl emissions, effect of clouds and of course the sun. Very well written, very easy to read and complete common sense.
We are the carbon these Governments want to reduce.
A friend of ours is working on and researching nuclear fusion, but there's no funding being pumped into that, it's all about solar panels and wind turbines which don't work when it's not sunny or windy and destroys environments and eco systems to put them up. Bonkers.
Net zero is economically destructive virtue signalling for Britain, its carbon output is less than 1% of the worlds total and dwindling. Climate change is not the main environmental problem, it is merely a symptom of the real problem, the sheer size of the population. With respect to energy, forget stopping oil it is far too useful, but nuclear fusion will be the main source of energy.
