Why? Because their last plan didn’t go far enough to deliver the UK’s legally binding net zero goals.

You can not get to net zero without huge decreases in living standards and people who advocate net zero should tell people that you can not do it without huge cost.
Almost certainly in 2050 people will still be talking about net zero, this time aiming to achieve it by 2080. And even then it is unlikely, very unlikely that there will be zero carbon emissions by then.
Meanwhile countries like China are hugely increasing emissions, they do not seem to care tuppence about net zero and will make Britain does totally meaningless anyway.
And the double standards surrounding the issue is absolutely astounding, something that has been. Evident for a very long time.

Energy security? We need energy independence so we’re not reliant on others for own needs.
Take us out of Net Zero, the Paris Climate Conference, Davos and COP whatever, and it would be a gigantic step in the right direction… More fossil fuel, nuclear and hydro, supplemented with wind and solar as they are a niche offering…, and we can all start living again, instead of existing…👍
You don't need to be a scientist to know that when the world runs out of limited oil and natural energy. then we will be at net zero regardless. I think the government want is to bide its time then monopolize energy so they can make billions. and believe this. the amount of money you will pay will never be low again.

These morons are still listening to the IPCC propaganda, they still think CO2 is a pollutant. Windfarms are an ecological disaster, destroying communities in South America who supply the balsa wood to the highly toxic baby killing PBA leaching into the soils, waterways and marine environment. The result, the complete breakdown of our economy and the opportunity for the government to exercise greater control, like a permanent lockdown.

Solar Panels are the future but future what? is it the case that after 10-15 years they fail and need to be sent to landfill ? The problem is that they are more toxic than Nuclear waste. So we are looking to dispose of 800,000 tons per year by sending it to 3rd world countries can this be true? If they are recycled properly it will vastly increase the cost and so prohibit their use.

Nuclear is green energy now according to the EU, let's do that instead, it'll work much better and be less polluting.

The trillions of pounds being squandered on a source of power that simply cannot work, it is practically and technically unsuited to grid supply. The talk of a transition to renewables is fantasy land.
The mounting evidence in climate science is that CO2 is not driving climate nor can we control it as most CO2 emissions are natural. The inertia in governments, driven by the U.N. and others like the WEF and The Club of Rome means it will take a long time for the reality to filter through, meanwhile we are impoverishing the U.K. while the far East makes hay and laughs at the stupidity of the West. .

It's quite clear that the dwp universal credit and government are forcing people to take their own life because universal credit put people in debt by stringing the clements along for 4 months first saying they are entitled to universal credit in May then in Aug saying sorry we can't help you witch put me in rent arrears for 1500
It is a mistake for the OK to be a leader in net zero. UK citizens are only 14th in income and wealth and should not have to bear the economic burden of virtue signalling. Let other nations lead, and learn from their mistakes and improved technology with later generation devices.

Net Zero is the biggest mistake we have made in energy planning. It is based on idiotic, half-arsed climate scaremongering (computer modelling that is about as accurate as the COVID models) and will lead to economic ruin without doing any good for the planet. It is an empty, facetious virtue signal. Even if you believe in CO2 as some kind of demonic gas, China, India and the US are key to reductions, not the UK.
We are also seeing that our nut zero policy was based on only 1 year's worth a data. Totally crazy
Net zero is a fantasy , its not possible for the simple fact that most of the co2 that goes into the atmosphere 97% comes from earth's natural sources, the oceans, rotting and decaying vegetation, volcanoes etc., less than 3% comes from human activity. So even if you could get to net zero, is there any point because most of the co2 is all natural. So if you are going to try and prove that human co2 emissions cause climate to change or warming then you have to prove that the 97% of natural emissions does not. Total co2 in atmosphere is 0.04% , the UK is responsible for 1% of it which is 0.0004% . So our stupid political class want the UK to go to net zero which will save the earth from 0.0004% of co2. In the meantime our economy will shrink to zero , with no jobs, no food , no travel, no heating , and civil unrest. All for trying to stop producing a gas called co2 which was once in the atmosphere millions of years ago and which is a nutrient for all plant and tree life .This needs to stop now, there is no climate crisis , its all been made up for unethical people and scientist to make more money and have more control over us , wake up people.
