Explore the connection between two of Earth’s greatest threats: climate change and plastic production.
The ocean covers more than 70% of the earth’s surface and plays a crucial role in regulating our climate. However, due to human activities, the ocean is facing a range of problems, and climate change is one of the most significant threats.
Firstly, climate change is causing the ocean to warm up, leading to coral bleaching, which affects the survival of marine organisms. Secondly, as the temperature of the ocean rises, it is causing sea levels to rise, which is leading to coastal erosion and flooding. Additionally, the ocean is becoming more acidic due to the absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which is affecting marine life and ecosystems. Finally, climate change is also causing changes in ocean currents and weather patterns, which are leading to more extreme weather events, such as hurricanes and typhoons.
It’s clear that climate change is having a significant impact on the ocean, and it’s essential that we take action to mitigate its effects. This video provides an overview of some of the ways in which climate change is affecting our oceans and why we need to take action to protect them.

Where does the plastics go
Poor Earth.😢
Great informative video❤ love it
Maybe the waste companies should have machines the rip open bag to check. Makes more sense to check everything not a bite
It’s just on USA to do something. Asian parts of the worst we try to recycle all the time they just get throw it on the ground they don’t clean there town or city.
That's why I recical a lot god bless this people keep it up😮😮
Humans have much to learn.
😠 Please use temperature measurements in degrees Celsius.
Great video!
Ecosia and ocean hero search engines
Great video! But it is also really sad that it exists.
""In our eternal touch with the nature
We see communions of life and death
We see their joyous inseparable unity
We learn that life is as beautiful as death"

Another beautiful song with a great message is "Ad Astra" by Nightwish.
Thanks 4Oceans. 👍
One of your bracelets came in my mystery GQ box. It is garbage for the landfill. Thanks. Make something useful maybe.
A powerful and eye-opening video on the alarming impact of plastic on climate change. It's time we take action and rethink our plastic consumption habits
It’s so simple ! It doesn’t !!! Time to wake up
Yes, plastics don't turn into methane when they decompose like paper does!
Plastic particles are heating up the sea. A non funded experiment was carried out that all so caused depletion of oxygen in the sea water tank and the air above. Unfunded means you do not get to hear the truth. If the plastics are not removed world wide it is end game for life. We have change the seas of the world added so much that should not be. The seas have never had to deal with what we have dumped by many source's killing the oceans. End Game.
I live near a beach in the Caribbean and it was alarming to see how plastic and microplastics have become part of the sandscape. It's everywhere! I've started taking a garbage bag with me and picking up any plastic garbage I see on the sand and water. All the restaurants on the beach should be cleaning up since most of the plastic is coming from their customers , but they don't. And littering and illegal dumping is a big problem. We organized a roadside clean up going towards the beach and got a good amount of garbage up. Now we need to get people motivated to keep the momentum. Thank you for inspiring change.
The oceans absorb 93,4% of the warming. I stopped using "climate change" as only 2,3?% of the warming shows up in the troposphere.
So, when they say global warming has reached 1,5°C, that's only 2,3% "factual".
Actual global warming is measured in watts per square meter on the surface of the tropopause, the layer between troposphere and stratosphere. where the temperature of the air stops cooling and warms up a bit in the stratosphere, even though the stratosphere is actually cooling because the destruction of stratospheric ozone and the insulating properties of greenhouse gases in the troposphere.
Thanks for your work 4Ocean ✌
Except for the first line, it's an information video. What's left out is that the number one cause of climate change is animal agriculture. Stopping animal agriculture would lower the Earth's temperature, whereas stopping fossil fuels raises the Earth's temperature in the short term. So stopping plastic use is essential, but plastics don't disrupt the environment as much as animal ag.
It is time to for us to REFUSE to use single use plastic. Recycling, reducing, and reusing helps a lot. However, REFUSING to use single use plastic is by far the most effective solution to the problem.
