  1. Summary of talk: banks and their private equity holders that make their money by financing fossil fuels need tax payers to guarantee they won't lose money by investing in sustainable energy. No mention of divesting in the industries that are causing the problem.

Could it be they are owned by the same folks that want guarantees?

Convince your local politicians to change zoning laws somehow…so banks and investors get whatever they want(?) before they finance green, affordable housing?

Demand investors to change their portfolios to be sustainable before you give them your money

  2. I love how these clowns use nonsense future models with 1 or 2 variables to predict “weather” in the next 10 years. If you ever bother to look at the models put out by banks on the weather they are a joke. But you go on and on with your hysteria. Did they not just do this same garbage with Covid models and were massively wrong?

  3. Ok but how do we deincentive banks funding oil and gas extraction and stop them from funding corrupt politicians who want to extract every valuable resource out of our planet??

  4. A good summary of arguments on how the private and public sector can be "motivated" to work on climate action. The focus on people needing to push them is placing the blame a little squarely on individuals though. Simultaniously to working on lobbying and placing out own assets in line with our morals, governments and certain cooperations have been profiting off exploiting the world, former colonies etc. and should re-invest some of these profits from places they have extracted them (Congo, Guatemala, Bangladesh). It cannot be squarely on the individuals to work and clean up the gread of the few (though it does play a part)

  5. Money laundering. Transfer of wealth. 15 Minute cities –> Hunger Games.
PEOPLE do NOT effect "climate". The Sun is King and the Oceans the Work Horse. "Carbon"….de-carbonize thecworld". WHO actually wrote her speech? Listen to her "Division" analogies.

  6. They don't work together, climate change and money. It's a ouroborus, a serpent eating itself, the world doesn't give a damn about money. If the rich just gets richer, their is no point in financing something that is destined over time to be exploited, the very basis of industrialization, consumerism, and lies. The only thing money and power is good at is influencing people, isn't that sad? Either money loses it's meaning or we find better leaders, better "rich" people who give a damn, their is no profit when the world is on fire. Because unlike war, poverty, it can just end if the leaders that lead us, the countries we fall in, the higher powers we worship actually give a damn. Isn't it sad? That the only good use of money is to influence people to make more? Unlike any world problem, all we need are people, leaders, inventors, dreamers with good hearts and actual people willing to listen.

  7. I hate to say it folks, but even though I thought it was all frivolous spending on the climate change stuff I have to admit I started looking into it and over a fair bit of time I have been working out a project. It very well can work if put in action!

I have now figured out the final pieces on my idea for an extremely feasible plan I've been developing and it WILL have major effect in helping with climate change, environmental and carbon footprint concerns as well as racial, "equity" and equality concerns and create large numbers of good jobs and productive revenue for individuals and companies!

It will solve so many of the issues we are facing and hearing about that have become so urgent!

I simply need to be able to present my idea and explain the project to someone who has the means to make it happen! Or a group of people of course. However we can get the ball rolling in time! For it to actually have great benefits within the current generation!

This isn't some joke or crazy rant or anything like that.
I've simply managed to put the pieces together and developed a plan for a project that will actually work!

I would do it myself because there will most assuredly be a great deal to benefit from involvement in it, but I just unfortunately don't have the means to make a project this big happen all by myself.
I actually considered trying to find a way to be able to present my idea to the President! I'm sure he would be very happy to hear about it and have a chance to make it happen!
I was also thinking perhaps someone like Elon Musk considering he has displayed serious interest, insights and involvement in other projects to help humanity. He would be right for this as he is actually already positioned for great benefits from my idea and plan being put into action, but it's not as if I have a readily open and available audience with Mr. Musk.
So I'm open to any ideas or suggestions or straight forward help with getting an opportunity to present my idea and plan to anyone who can help make it happen!
I would even offer involvement to anyone who successfully made it possible for me to present my plans to someone who can and will make my project happen!

Anyway I wouldn't just scoff at these kind of concerns before giving it some consideration.
The issues and problems can be huge and daunting and many people may feel it's just more worry than they are able to deal with at the time. So they are inclined to just throw their hands up and tell themselves "It's just too much! Someone will come along someday and think of something to help!". Well "someone" is here!
Now what are we going to do with it?

  8. That afternoon sky was a bright blue

Cotton ball clouds cast a shadow hue

Slowly growing dark gray rain was due

Beach goers left saying nature does rule

Climate Change is cruel we added the fuel

  9. Sustainable urban planning assumes a dual role, countering the heat island effect in densely populated areas while promoting eco-friendly living practices that optimize resource use and minimize environmental impact.

  10. Climate Change is real but this speaker sounds like a poser. It is not a finance problem. She wants to build housing but that creates more greenhouse gases. And "growth" from financing actually creates more greenhouse gases. She is a smoke and mirrors poser.
