In the last 30 years, CO2 emissions have increased by 60 percent worldwide. The most pressing problem facing our civilization is global warming. What solutions could there be? This documentary accompanies activists in their efforts to combat climate change.
According to scientists, if by the year 2100 the global temperature has risen more than 1.5 degrees Celsius on levels recorded in the year 1850, the consequences could be devastating for people and the environment. But will we manage to achieve this ambitious goal? Around the world, politicians, companies, laboratories and universities are struggling to find solutions.
The film team visits climate rescuers in Sudan, Indonesia and Europe. Their inventive spirit cools buildings, connects countries with green electricity lines or sucks carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. Their work helps determine the living conditions of generations to come.
Every time the women of Shagra plant an acacia seedling in the sand of Darfur, it is an occasion of great joy in the Sudanese village. The tree will drive its roots 100 meters into the ground and be better able to withstand the droughts in the Sahel than most other plants. It will secrete gum sap when women scratch the bark after a few years. The sale of gum arabic will alleviate poverty in the village.
65,000 acacias are already growing in Darfur: a blessing for the bitterly poor region, as well as a carbon dioxide reservoir that can help limit global warming.

Many poor nations share the guilt of ruining the environment by having
so many babies and foolishly cutting down forests to burn wood for
a cup of tea. Then they complain when all the trees are burned up
and there is no money to buy anything for their 8 kids. It is nonsense
to blame Swedish people or Americans or Germans for their stupidity.
STOP having so many babies. Focus on GEOTHERMAL energy and
build with stone, block, steel and glass. As for cars the less population
then the less cars needed.
Heres what they dont tell you Solar companies only offer (to my knowledge) "grid tied packages". So your house generates power, meter goes backwards. Then you use power, meter spins forward. No batteries. I know of 3 states that once they had enough ppl on a system, simply took away the equal KW pay. The ppl paid for the system, they produce power to the grid, residents bill keeps increasing. You will aslo NEVER get a check and all states that I know has already made laws where you cant just set up a grid and panels to make money. Sound like a scam? It 100% is. Wind turbines use power to turn when the wind isnt extremely strong. They need a certain rotation per minute to generate power. The props bow if not. They are 20 to 35% efficient. Most off grid people use natural gas to fuel the high-energy appliances. Strange that now natural gas is the new enemy of "going green". Follow the money, I guarentee power companies are paying off all of these politicians. I'm not a climate change denial, I think it needs more research but the fact is, the govts push for a green deal very clearly is not about saving the environment

But one more thing i noticed, things/stuff that can help to reduce consumptions of energy are expensive and only rich people can afford. Just like solar panels…for the people to be able to help saving the planet, things must be affordable….

back in the years they were saying the solar ice caps are shirking I used Nasa pictures sure enough they were getting smaller so I then did the same search but I used Google earth and some of the years NASA showed a smaller picture the cap had grew bigger I wonder why?
It is absolutely shocking what humans done to the planet in the past 40 yrs… all it’s about money… I live in Australia, summer all ready came far too early, but forest are cut for new town to be developed, out children and grandchildren will suffer from it… 😢
If the polar caps melt and the seas rise then 3 things are sure to happen. Firstly every port , home, and building on all coastal areas will have to be demolished and rebuilt further inland so your looking at zero unemployment worldwide for a very long time. Secondly, all commercial fishing vessels won’t be able to offload their catch ( no ports). If fishing boats can’t unload they won’t go out to get the fish, this would give fish stock’s in the ocean years to replenish their numbers. And thirdly with no ability to import and export goods ( no ports) then Industry will have to be developed ” in “ country to provide for societal needs, another factor in creating zero unemployment. There will be some negative aspects from rising sea levels but hey…..let’s look on the bright side.
The reason to so called climatechange is GEOINGENEERING! Educate yourself! And of course follow the money! You have to wake up to the truth!

climate change is a natural process, its nothing to do with running your car
Carbon Dioxide is 0,04 % of the Earth's atmosphere. That's only 4 parts out of 10,000 parts. Even if it increased 60% it means only 4 + 2.4 = 6.4 parts out of 10,000 parts. This is not significant.
