  1. "Net Zero" is such a stupid concept. Most of the 1st world countries don't give off near as much pollution as many 3rd world countries. Bangladesh is the country with the most pollution. They are not promising to go net zero. In India, if you wear a white shirt there, it turns brown. China has drastically poor air quality.

This is jus pointless banter and a cheap tactic for politicians to gain the vote of earth conservationists.

  2. What Sunak doesn't get with his daughters is their concern about the climate comes from the fact they are going to have to live in the world that their father is screwing up. Its time to stop kicking the can down the road and expecting our children to clean up our mess.

  3. UK became real HELL on EARTH for its citizen last 10 years, like it is not even same country it once used to be. The speed of that change is unbelievable… 14th increase of interest rates ? This will impact mortgage holders as well as renters. What is WORST, that after BREXIT the Brits got stocked on their Island like they are in the PRISON , they can no longer just move and relocate easily to southern EU like they used to.

  4. The Uk produces less than 1% of global emissions. Getting the UK to this magical net zero will accomplish nothing. Nothing positive anyway. It will cost us all more money and reduce our quality of living. It's utter madness that anyone would support this. It only benefits the rich and powerful as they can leech more money out of us and take away more of our rights.

  5. You Brits should thank sunak. He's helping you get out the cost of living crisis and create more job through this. More energy in the market means lesser price especially with the war causing shortage. Only the global North is foolish enough to think battery powered cars are the future.

  6. frankly in a world where UK is 1-2% co2… and one in which we are stuggling.. makes no sense to cut off our reserves. You can do it for good feels if you like.. only ones laughting will be our authoritarian adversaries.

  7. Most climate cultists fly with a private jet anyway, they just want to make people poorer and take away people's indepence with a carbon social credit system ( which they won't use themselves of course).

  8. Yes net zero, how high will electricity prices, and subsequently inflation, have to go. Seems that the UK has worked out that it isn’t such a great idea to have expensive, unreliable, intermittent, depleting-output, perpetually taxpayer subsided, goose green energy. People can only take so much of a declining standard of living with green policies.

  9. Licensing search for new oil is totally net zero, they will find the oil and put a wind turbine on top of it. Also if it happens that this oil is actually extracted, it's because UK will have oven-ready guarantee from Saudi Arabia (or Russia) that they are going to freeze as much oil in their soil. And finally, if it all fails, UK government will offset it with a promise from some other country, to not chop down a tree, as we know nothing removes as much carbon from the air as a promise of not adding more (counts 3 to 4 times as much). All in all, we have at least 3 layers of protection, emissions can only go up, and net zero is going to be met at least 10 years before schedule.

  10. Net Zero is a joke, it's being used as a political weapon and Eco fascism. It's brought in the cons and scams of electric cars and heat pumps into being. Praying on the naive and weak, to part with a lot of money, even overlooking safety concerning. The Conservatives and Labour have no intention of bringing the economy to its knees, they are just using it to lie and suppress the public. Just like Brexit, just like Covid, now with Net Zero. Open your eyes idiots!

  11. This isn't just a Conservative-imposed thing that can be remedied by voting in someone else. It's much deeper than that. We have no option for a voice of reason. That worries me.
