This will never happen to me where I live, we have droughts were I live.
and for those moronic people who believe "climate change" must be responsible, just remember this kind of stuff has happened throughout humanity, exception being up until recently with different have ways of telling the world, its called nature, and unfortunately no matter how much millions/billions we throw at this (must i say of tax payers £) it will never change, because believe it or not money doesn't change the natural cause of order this world has endured since way before us had (in some small minded people) will never change , money doesn't control weather, the earth does
side note, maybe reconsider where you decide to build your life's, there's data going back decades that could have prevented lost of life/property, if and i must say if people researched where to build there lives rather than think of today and how much money they can make, the world is so huge, with places(using core samples etc that) that may have helped them set up home/shop in less bad weather prone places, but hey that's just my opinion
