Climate change shakes up all of Earth’s systems, including the living ones. In this episode of Crash Course Biology, we’ll see how climate change’s effects rattle the entire chain of life. Changes felt in one population ripple out to affect entire communities and ecosystems—whether they’re composed of pine trees, puffins, or people.
Chapters:
A Changing Climate 00:00
Ecosystem Effects 2:21
Ecosystem Responses 4:38

Direct air capture for the win!!
I'll be the first to say, we need to make a change.
Yup 🤧
Great video and resource for us teachers to engage in constructive conversations with our students about the impact of global warming
Carbon dioxide is a gas gas Gas.
Good stuff.👍
lovely
Half an hour in and so far, so good but just waiting for all the climate scientists who got their degrees from TikTok to show up acting like they know more than actual climate scientists
7:35 Ok, this bit has made me a permanent fan.
We can either take the economic hit for a system that's screwing most of us over anyway
Or we can all die
We can only do one or the other, and we are running out of time to make the choice.
What about the sun and the earth magnetic field?
#freethejellyfish the ones behind him is trapped bro save em.
We must decide to change the way we live or the climate will change, and many will not survive. Decide soon or the heat will kill you.
Aren't there more polar bears now than there ever has been recorded? just thought the thumbnail text was odd
Excellent way for me to keep up on the general science topics. Thanks!
Climate Change is currently my number 1 source of anxiety at the moment. I'm in desperate need of some good news about the whole topic…
Btw way we can save the earth and the video will show you ngl its amazing.

The people who are destroying the planet for profit have names and addresses. Do not let videos like this get you depressed and down because they blame you. Instead get angry that the wrong people are being blamed.
Please be Vegan, it's a request
Adapt or die a little sooner.
Most fires are man made, indirect (cigarette, broken glass in nature) or direct, that is why they are more frequent. With populations worldwide increasing, especially in countries like India, China, sub Sahara African countries carbon will increase even more no matter how we try to reduce carbon, since people exhale carbon, less population would be the solution, but who will accept that. This whole sacrifice your economy of the West while the rich elite get richer is a complete sham, we the normal people pay for it all, while they get richer.
A good, simplified explanation – but still not simple enough for the type of person who thinks that climate change either won't affect humans at all, or is something that we just need to adapt to.
Reducing emissions with more and more of our vast numbers?
That is totally impossible.
"Reduce our numbers or Nature will do it for us"
The only solution to this existential problem.
humans and their laziness is going to make this pot boil.
I plan to work in environmental conservation! Very excited for the next video
I don't like how the context articles appear under legitimate educational videos the same way they do under conspiracy videos.
My brother in Christ, we are all @#%$#%@#$%@
Why am i still watching blues clues meNt for adults?
Great work, CC!
Crash Course has gotten an excellent pair of hosts for their currently running series. I really enjoy coming back each week to learn more about biology and botany!
even though I am a kid I try to recycle rubbish to help save the earth.
70% of all wildlife have already gone extinct because of humans, now it's Humankind's turn to face it, especially the ones who polluted the planet the most
I can literally watch all 38 crash course bio vids and ace my science test
01:33 Impact of Climate Change on Earth's Systems
03:06 Microscopic changes can have a huge impact on ecosystems.
04:39 Kelp forests are threatened by climate change.
06:12 Climate change impacts ecosystems and species differently.
07:45 Climate change is causing plants to bloom prematurely and affecting their ecosystem.
09:18 Thicker leaves trap carbon which contributes to climate change.
10:51 Climate change impacts are felt unevenly among different communities.
12:19 Climate change makes global connections impossible to ignore.
Very well explained! Do keep making videos like this
