  1. I am a bit confused after continually reporting that all gas boilers have to go, just had a letter saying upgrading our area changing metal gas pipes to 'new plastic ones' to keep gas flowing and make sure our gas network is fit for the future as part of a 30 year programme. It will take up to 44 weeks and they are starting October (just the best time of the year for me a 71 years old) with winter ahead. Hopefully global warming will mean another mild one this year. My suspicions have been raised by their comment 'we will need to enter your home and disconnect your gas supply'. Now as I have flatly refused a smart meter up to now as I am, and always have been capable of managing my own finances, I wait to see if my old meter will coincidentally not support the new installation? As an aside their letter states 'we are spending £2 million on this every week' whereas the booklet accompanying the letter states 'we are spending £1.4 million on this every week'. Doesn't bode well does it🤔

  2. Farage is great BUT he is wrong on this one…….not on the fact that it will be very hard…….but we need to get on to renewables and yet again ,lead the way in change for the rest of the world……………if we go on the way it is then we wont have 20 years

  3. What the hell is he blathering on about? Second on the list of peoples' concerns is the "climate breakdown?!?" I don't think so!!! I really do not think so. I don't think I even know one single person who buys into all this climate propaganda! I think most people can see it for what it is, a load of complete and utter bullshit. Shove your fear porn up your jacksie, Packham.

  4. Did you know that wind turbines use electricity from the grid, To start them turning, Because the blades are so big the wind will not operate them, Until they were turning at a certain speed, So they use electric power to bring a wind turbine up to speed, So the wind can take over and then produce electricity back to the grid, The thing is, They are putting more electricity in and they get back from the turbine because when the wind stops, They have gotta go through the whole process again, Follow the science, There is no such thing as perpetual motion.

  5. EV 's do not run on green energy, It comes from the national grid, And is a mixture of, Coal gas wind solar. With coal and gas making up the majority of the power of the national grid uses. So in effect to charge your EV car You are producing Carbon. The trouble is everybody wants a bite of the Green Apple, Haven't you realized yet it's all About the money, green schemes mean money for the elite, Whilst us Peasants have to suffer, From higher taxes higher shopping bills higher interest rates not to mention The tax one Also pays on petrol, Rd tax insurance, When will it end, I thought I seen the light at the end of the tunnel. But it was someone bringing me more taxes to pay, The Ulez charge in London, 20 mile an hour areas, And pay per mile motorways, this has got to stop. Politicians don't mind they can ignore all these prices, however the normal peasant can't.

  6. EV's We'll go the same way as, beta max recorders, And DVDS. Not forgetting the good old laser disc, If anybody bought one of them they shot there self in the foot. We are just not ready come back in 50 years time, There'll be a completely new planet for people to live on, but nobody there at all. Neutral CO2 killed everything.

  7. 13000 years ago I would have been writing this comment beneath 800 metres of ice, guess what its all melted but I suppose that does not count as climate change ! Have a look at the glaciated U shaped valleys in the lake district caused by the same climate situation.

  8. Packam underplays the bird deaths caused by turbines. They are still killing millions of birds. he is a liar. He is biased. The scientists all subscribe to the accepted dogma which is biased and neglects numerous factors affecting the planet. The scientist will not be published unless they support uncritically the dogma. Prestige driven boffins more concerned about their academic positions than unbiased science.
Two months ago Canada admitted that turbines are killing 62,000 birds and nearly 100,000 bats annually. Packam supposed to care for wildlife? Also milllions of acres of wild nature friendly land and trees being destoyed to make way for these monstrous killing machines and solar panels.

  9. How can they ever be safe for birds? He knows they kill tens of thousands of birds each year. Turbines have about a 20 year life, I believe, but are not bio-degradable. So where are we going to bury them all? The turbine gears boxes on windfarms use thousands of gallons of oil for lubrication each year.

  10. Why should i listen to Chris Packham who tells us we must do something for the future when it seems he hasn't produced any children thus proving he is doing nothing for his future, he wants to shut up and go mess about with his squirrels ?

  11. Wind turbines and solar panels only last 15-20 years and are completely unrecyclable. Renewable technology is not capable of providing for our energy needs. Energy also can not be stored in any meaningful quantity.

  12. Yes Chris!! The much vaunted Pillswood Battery storage site (hailed as the largest in Europe – it does cover all of what was a farm field) can supply the nearby city of Hull's electrical needs for 1.2 hours. Is that the future?

  13. Climate change activists are fighting a losing battle and here's why. I've never ever heard it mentioned that the worlds population has absolutely exploded just within the last 100 years. In 1925 the global population was just 2 billion, its now reached 8 billion. Which if a chart was overlaid on a carbon emissions chart, they match perfectly. Biggest question, what will the total population be by 2050… 10 – 12 billion?. Producing much more food and energy is going to the biggest problem of them all.

  14. Packham really puts the 'use' into 'useful idiot'. Bless him. 'The world' consists of a multi-polarity of competing global powers, namely the West against the emerging East. We in England could impose a pre-modern existence upon ourselves and it would only serve to benefit our international rivals (erm, by making us dependent on their energy supplies – duh!) while having hardly any impact upon global warming, given our global scale. How arrogant is it of us to assume sole responsibility in England for the world's climate ? I thought we'd moved beyond colonial attitudes. Packham only has a right to persuade the people of his arguments using the electoral process, he doesn't have a right to tacitly incite terrorism or sabotage, however righteous or morally indignant he may consider himself to be (which let's face it, all radicalised extremists do). That would be criminal activity. I find it curious that the West-hating Woke are strangely silent regarding the culpability of China, and I find it curious that authority generally goes soft on climate activists relative to other forms of domestic extremism, even when the vast majority of the public would support much harsher treatment of them. Is this because authority is now saturated with Leftist ingenues ? I'm afraid that incessant propaganda, moral pressure and a bit of performance art doesn't really cut it, we need to think you're doing a bit more than scaremongering and guilt-tripping. The establishment and their state-funded 'experts' have to earn public confidence in their authority, in a democracy that is. Activists can infiltrate and seize control of the institutions via stealth, they can even impose hegemony and dominate the discourse, but they have not earned the public's confidence. It's not that we haven't heard you Chris we are just ignoring you, the ''experts'' and the activists because we think you're dangerously misguided and are handing us over, either wittingly or unwittingly, to our international enemies. Freedom of thought is something we all have a right to in a free democracy. We don't have to agree with you or think you're right. Some of us have been taught to think critically and these activists seem little more than a dangerous mob of useful idiots, the latest products of the mass indoctrination/profiteering program otherwise known at the UK higher education system

  15. I dont know about whats said here. Chris said no more subsides and a transition off gas. He would be willing to acknowledge therefore if wind didn't blow and sun didn't shine perfectly extra forms of energy could be needed. I a sure with the i lncrease in ability of solar and larger number we would get enough sun along with wind anyway. Dont throw the baby out with the bath water. Anyone here supporting this report should think hard about this. We need to purely get enough up in the right sunny locations.😊

  16. Chris Packham 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴
