Why on earth he didn't realise about the fast train beforehand shows he is no leader. The British public are fed up to the back teeth with Sunak, his government, his MPs, who for the most part have voted to potentially criminalise us, and his net zero obsession. All UK politicians have been asleep and ignored their constituents! Why are these minority ideological eco policies being foisted on the majority! Net zero is never attainable without reverting to the stone age except for the elite. Normal people will never give up freedom of movement and their car. All these eco protesters use or wear hydrocarbon products everyday but cannot see their own hypocrisy. Also 20mph zones. Many cyclists go faster than 20mph yet pay no road tax yet have their own cycle lanes paid for by the majority, no insurance yet go through red lights etc .
Well done Priti Patel – but the public want brakes put on with action to stop this eco madness more than just words and sound bites !
The public see through all these extra Lez and Ulez charges obsessions as another tax which infringes on the majority's freedom of movement – yet the UK carbon contribution is negligible globally and what crazy targets have no effect other than a feel good factor for politicians. These targets don't stop the the emissions from eg China , Russia India etc circulating in the atmosphere and affecting / negating anything the UK does!
Like her opinion is worthless, as was her time in government,she achieved nothing.

The majority of motorists own cars requiring annual MOT tests regarding roadworthiness and emissions ! What's the point of the MOT emissions test if your vehicle complies yet banned from City zones unless pay a tax!! The hypocrisy and confirmation these Lez/Ulez charges are just tax/Council fund raising /penalties isvhighlighted that a classic car is exempt from these levies yet a more recent car model is penalised!! Do the all UK politicians think their constituents cannot realise that these measures are restrictions on the peoples freedom of movement and the potential ramifications in the future on conditioning the public to get used to more control on what the public do and live as is now being revealed about what is happening in China ! The public do not want that level of control- politicians beware!

Mr Sunak is a disgraceful human being. His decision to backtrack on Green plans in the UK today (20th September 2023) is insanity. His Tory donors will be laughing all the way to the bank.

First sensible thing the prime minister has done. The hysteria that has been created around net zero, this is a far more realistic approach.
Once nobody wished to bid for the new wind farm contracts, Net Zero was finished, because the lie that renewables are cheaper has been exposed.
