  1. Whether Britain does or does not hit these utterly false "targets" doesn't matter a hoot. We can destroy our economy, destroy our lives, go back to living on caves and eat grass, and the world's emissions of greenhouse gases will drop by less than 1%. Meanwhile China is building coal-fired power stations as hard as she is able.

  2. lol Net Zero is MAd hat idea in the first place let alone socialist.. and you can tell we are approaching an election to Tory’s start pretending that they are actually going to be Conservative. Personally I think it’s hot air and he likes his opsit are lying 🤥 to get votes 🗳️. And they wonder why people have not fafe in politics and the media and political class.

  3. How about doing what the overwhelming majority of British Public really want and just scrapping Net Zero completely?

That's if the Tories want the vaguest chance of staying in power.

  4. self elected earn your pay this time last yr you allowed fuel to rise forcing food up drop vat help the ppl instead of grabbing more tax from the fuel rise and stop blaming the retailers it 70% tax on every pound spent on fuel the higher the cost the more tax you get

  5. When it comes to the overall amount of CO2 being belched into the atmosphere by the UK, not only is this a drop in the bucket but also an international irrelevance. What the U K can actually do to mitigate the erosion of our planetary health is to pour money into developing alternative sources of energy. That could also create jobs in the manufacturing sector and once again be leaders in the an industrial fossil free revolution. Funding the future could be our saviour as opposed to the present stagnation and irrelevance in the world. So Mr. Sunak and other Tories. Do you want to be known for as the guys who sat on the fence while the planet burned, or do you want to significantly do what the UK has historically contributed to the health and wealth of the world.?? It's your Call folks.

  6. Here is proof that Net Zero would have a net zero effect on the climate: It is true that CO2 levels have been rising steadily since 1960. See the graphs from the Mauna Loa Observatory. But human CO2 emissions have been reduced considerably during this period, and were reduced dramatically during the Covid lockdowns. As you can see from the graphs, these reductions had absolutely no effect on the rising CO2 levels. This indicates that anthropological CO2 is not the cause of the rising CO2 levels, and reducing CO2 emissions (Net Zero) will also have absolutely no effect!

  7. Because we have already delayed doing anything for 30+ years what does another 5 matter. By destroying our own heavy industry sector we have cut our own territorial co2 emmisions and we off shore our emissions instead so it's another countries problem now. This is hopefully obvious sarcasm
