The journey for African countries to reach net zero carbon targets is going to be a tough one. To mitigate and adapt to climate change realities, much work needs to be done across the public and private sectors, with partnerships on projects being key. Financing renewable energy projects is also a potential challenge that can only be achieved through partnerships.
These issues emerged at the Standard Bank’s 2023 Climate Summit, themed Africa’s Journey to Net Zero. The Summit was held in partnership with the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
