‘Net zero is a suicide pill for the British economy, nothing more, nothing less. It’s completely unaffordable. It’s totally unnecessary and it’s going to crush everything we hold dear if we’re not careful.
People think we have a climate crisis which we don’t. What we really do have is an energy supply crisis. I’ve been talking to professional power engineers about this and they tell me that on the 20th of April 2035, the UK Power grid is likely to collapse and that’s due to a coal to a coalescence of a whole series of factors.
Marcus Gibson sat down with Nana Akua at the ARC conference to discuss critical topics, including the impending energy supply crisis, the challenges of Net Zero policies, and the need for a more balanced climate discussion.

Britain has already crushed everything they hold dear by FLOODING the country with muslims and africans…
Thirty three years ago, the then government recognised that poor air quality, and the post industrial legacy of contaminated land, needed addressing to attract new investment and cut pollution in densely populated areas. Central to this was the reduce carbon emissions. and protect green spaces,
Leading figures on Environment policy lobbied for funding and policy change.
I recall little interest was shown by many councils to whom the funding was aimed.
Part of the problem was they had to produce policies to get funding.
Which for them was a low priority. As a result huge opportunities to cut carbon and protect green spaces were lost.
Now over a quarter of a century later these councils have climbed on bandwagons to tackle issues they once had no interest.
Funnily John Redwood who was the environment minister who signed off the five year budgets to help Councils improve their environment must wonder why only a few took advantage all those years ago.
People like Dr David Bellamy was never seen on TV after expressing some doubt about the cause of our weather patterns.
When we had long heat waves in the 70s, they were followed by cold winters.
And we all got by, can it be possible to halt the wind coming off the Atlantic the brings our weather ? Especially when the Sun isn't shining ?
What the fuck is our government doing to this country.
NetZero is a genocide pill for all life on Earth – Animal life, plant life, bird life, sea life and HUMAN LIFE
We really have to educate the Press which just published any old garbage as long as it fills spaces. That is primary becasue the politico's all follow the Press to try and be popular. How er do that is up to people cleverer tan I
Don't mention the BBC, full of scaremongering numbties and management.
He's right
Net zero-it's totally unnecessary. Totally correct Mr Gibson. It's the climate catastrophists who are the scare mongers-not this guy.
Wait until these clowns start seeing migration from ecological issues what will be the line then.
I guess we should have worked on the math before we jumped on the climate crazy train!
Nana… your sound company needs to invest in skin colour microphone for ethnic minorities! It should be a given surely! 😮
Wow. Listen up folks!!! It doesn't get any simpler nir ckearer than this.😊
He is 100% correct, and this is likely to mean that we will be struggling to live for many years until the powers that be relent to this notion of a green dream.
Our political system is the problem, we need to make it illegal for politicians to prosper when we have a crisis.
Had no idea about the amount of wood pellet usage! We need to have all the practical aspects of our energy resources from logistics to pricing to market behaviour and so on laid out publicly for all to understand and to clearly hold our governments and suppliers to account.
Have a net zero referendum, no one under 35 is allowed to vote.
And the British people, isn't that the WEF's plan to make people poor, so they have nothing and can be controlled, these natzees even planned it for Hitlers Bday…
Saving a planet which doesn’t need saving, and thinking you can save it by offsetting our emissions onto China is insane. Tell me is China on a different planet? 😂The lunatics are running the asylum right?
What they want is a revolution so these stupid lefties take power…. my answer NO CHANCE 😂
Wish you would lose this ARC garbage, its WEF in a dress.
Who VOTED for
UnbridledUnchecked Illegal Immigrants, Nett Zero Rubbish, Windmills, Useless Solar Farms, Electric Cars, ULEZ, COP20 etc and Wishy Washy Snakey Sunak and throwing away BILLIONS in Foreign Aid to corrupt Countries when we in the UK have Thousands Homeless and in Londonistan And One in 53 of it's Diversity Population sleeping rough in Shop Doorways and Parks, etc = an Absolute DISGRACE !f asked today I would Guarantee 75% Would VOTE NO Way José !5:40 In the UK we have thousands of Windmills and Solar Farms – OK on a sunny breezy day great – but in Winter on a cloudy day contribute less than 2% of Energy needs. It doesn't take an Einstein to work out catastrophe looms ahead !
8:35 I am not for one minute disputing 'Climate Change/Global Warming' but would contest strongly that is is not caused by Humans, but a natural cycle that has occurred
over Millions of Years. Where I am sitting now [Midlands UK] a mere 12,000 Years ago was under ½ mile thick Ice Sheet. I kid you not Mammoth Lake nearby. All these
Measures proposed to Halt or Reverse it are pathetic and will not make the slightest difference' The most stupid of all is halting what are now very efficient clean ICE
Cars and replacing them with Dirty Electric that only the most wealthy can afford initially and have off road/Garage parking to enable them to recharge overnight (for a
full recharge up to several days) Quite honestly I see this as a way to Tax the average person for the benefit of the wealthy who running an EV pay no Road Tax/Fuel
Tax and even get a Government Grant when purchasing one. There is a £34 Billion Black Hole set to appear in the future and I dread the future for our
Children/Grandchildren after the gigantic astronomical costs Covid19 has caused. Wait until 98% efficient Gas Boilers are prohibited and have to spend £15-20k on a
h
eat pump that is most useless inefficient in the Winter [cold] Months when little or no Solar Power and on a still day Zero Wind Power. Nuclear Fission may be the
answer but until that time Quote "UK Government Advisor {Allegra Stratton} on Global Warming I will continue using my elderly VW Diesel – say no more !
With limited electrical energy from so called "renewables", the UK will desparately NEED Global Warming to keep people from freezing to death!
Urggggh that utterly egregious "context banner" does my head in.
Net zero, an exercise in proving that No one ever went forward by going backward…problem is the exercise is going to harshly paid for by ordinary people.
Wow! How interesting yes Nana please have that knowledgeable man on your show…we need more truth and accuracy!
UK became real HELL on EARTH for its citizen last 10 years, like it is not even same country it once used to be. The speed of that change is unbelievable… To watch UK decline live, as it unfolds please get some popcorn and soda it is here to stay for few years. UK has 2 Trillion pounds of debt…
I’m not sure about is precise date predictions – but I believe with the next 5 years we will see huge restrictions in what we can use and at what time – all proceed by brown and even black outs
Oh, and thanks yt for the blue box with the con text
“ How can we ruin the economies of the UK and other western countries, and hence destroy them ‘ ?’said the Secretary General of the UN .
“ I know “ , he said “ let’s invent a thing called net -zero ‘
Then all the moron politicians of the UK , and in particular Boris the imbecile Johnson got very excited, jumped up and down and behaved like clowns doing exactly what the UN wanted . And thus it was that the UK as a nation was finished , no obliterated.
net zero is a expensive and made up BS to impoverish the people even more than they are already. we see through you bull so drop already it and get over it.
So South Africa repeats itself over and over again. How stupid must you be to follow such a reckless and illogical path!
Sensible bloke.
Been banging on about this now for the last 5 years ,we can supply our own electricity quickly and cheaply, small scale water turbines by the thousands can be built quickly and cheaply, last 3 times as long as wind turbines and twice as long as solar, and are fully recyclable ♻️ but government and party's don't seem to be bothering listening
Marcus Gibson is right when he says it is rich of the BBC to complain about GB News not being impartial on the climate when it is blatantly obvious the BBC is. Whether you agree with human caused climate change or not, people who are skeptical on on the subject have a perfect right in a democracy to express their opinions and for those opinions to be broadcast, especially on the BBC.
Otherwise, to say Britain is a democracy is simply not true.
GB News allows people like Jim Dale to express their views on the climate, and he is predicting strongly a climate apocalypse. So why can the BBC not allow people to express the opposite view? On this subject, GB News is doing better than the BBC.
In a Democracy anyone should be able to say what he or she likes, within reasonable limits and for their opinion to be heard.
Inciting violence, hatred and people to commit crimes obviously goes over those reasonable limits. Being skeptical on the climate, whether you agree with it or not, equally obviously does NOT go over those limits.
In Britain we are lucky that we have not had to fight a war or conflict in or near the country (with the exception of Northern Ireland and the troubles there ended 25 years ago) so we are able to talk about things like the climate and what if anything to do about it. On the other hand, in places like Gaza and many others where there are wars or conflicts going on, immediate survival is the priority and not climate change. And the same in many countries where poverty is rampant and understandably people will not worry about climate change when they may not survive for long or are too busy struggling to survive,
If Britain reduced its standards of living to those of the developing world, then people too will worry less about climate change than about simply struggling to stay alive. But reducing living standards to those of the developing world seems to be exactly what organizations like Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil want.
In that case members of those organizations should practice what they preach and reduce their own living standards to those of the developing world. You may still disagree with them but at least you could respect them if they did exactly that.
Climate change is real. The climate has always changed, and it always will.
Charles's speech spouted about 'his government' making a strong economy, making life so much better – amongst other things – knowing its all lies.
When it comes to 'the climate crisis' what metric is used to measure the effects of this crisis ? Falling populations ? nope ! Falling food production ? Nope ! Unhealthier people ? Nope Reducing Life Expectancy ? Nope ! More deaths from 'natural disasters' ? Nope ! Falling standards of living ? Nope. The only metric used is that the average temp of the planet has gone up a bit this past 80 years – yet oddly as recent as the 1970s, Scientific Text Books were predicting a COOLING of the planet by now ! So the experts of the 1970s were wrong…..so who's to say that today's Scientists (in the pay of the WEF and UN and WHO and CCP) will not be proved to be wrong.
