3도가 오르면 5도 6도도 몇년후에 체감하게 될거임.왜냐면 일부지역은 평균 3도가 오르면 5도까지 오를거고 그곳은 내전이 일어남.
The rich countries will also have massive numbers of seniors. Not as rich.
Geoengeenering climaengeenering cooling by creating an limited artificial nuclear winter
It's too bad to hear the continued subtle derisive arrogance in Steven Chu's & interviewer's closing, calling people "climate deniers" (1:20:40), "utter nonsense" (1:21:00), connecting Hitler to Trump. Scientists are more like engineers, not the best public speakers, as easy going as Steven Chu is, he isn't that humble at times and misses the mark on opportunities to bring people together because he separates himself from "climate deniers".
These alarmists will be held accountable. CO2 is GREEN ENERGY.
the earth is greening dramatically and if we can get CO2 to 600PPM, we can end global hunger. I wish somebody would explain to me how the earth's last ice age was achieved with CO2 levels at 6000( yes six thousand) PPM?????
Climate change is always happening. I'm just not sure it has anything to do with CO2…….. CO2 level rise can be a result of temperature change, not a cause. In the last ice age CO2 levels were 6,000 PPM……then they started falling and had they fallen just a little more than they did until the 1960s and humans turned it around , plant life on earth would have died.
I am surprised Steven, despite being a for DoE secy, to have a more nuanced view on energy, tech and biophysical limits. His ideas seemed very naive and over-techno-optimistic.
Once computers became mainstream we started to lose any real sense of boredom, leading less exploration and curiosity. I used to go outside as a child and just explore…look under rocks at the life there, race twigs after rain along the gutter, and so on. All of these activities gave insight and understanding about the world around us. Kids no longer do these things, and we can see the impact.
Then O'Bama changed his mind and decided the democrats needed to give the country away to black women to get re-elected…….free air conditioners for every family of color…run on coal of course. Better yet the universities have killed us all by pushing irrational arguments about nuclear for decades.
Busy with the war machine to be worried about all this stuff
New publication by C3S: "Hottest May on record spurs call for climate action". In it, data given indicate that we are experiencing a 0.214 degC global temp increase over 1991-2020 baseline and, if this continues, we may see 2 degC by 2027, and 3 degC by 2032. Then, we're toast and any child brought into this dying world now will rue the day and hate us to his/her heat exhausted dying day.
heard this stuff every 2 years for 60 years from these exact experts

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH WAUGH
Hey, I live in the South Island of New Zealand. IT GET VERY COLD IN WINTER FOR LONG PERIODS AND IT GETS QUITE HOT FOR HSORT PERIODS IN THE SUMMER. i I arrived in Christchurch a sa ten-year-old from power cuts Wales in 1972. In 1973 during the tailed of my first summer in New Zealand Christchurch experienced the hottest day ever recorded in New Zealand. The temperature reached something like 38 or 41 degrees. Went to school next day to find our classroom collection of 32 self-made candle some of ridiculous size (boys) had melted and now only existed as a vast sticky mess spread down the walls and over the floor. Anyway, thing is Australia experiences temperatures like this day in 1973 regularly. Try Brisbane in summer. I dont know how people work and live in Australia. It's that feck in. My point is that the temperatures nausea are way more than 6 degrees above anything we experience in New Zealand. If Wiant to experience climate change I can move to Sydney. I wouldn't like it but it wouldn't kill me, Get my point here. How is a rise in temperature of 6 degrees going to kill thousands? What part of the earth? Oh, and another ironic fact. White Island is volcanoes of the coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It erupted suddenly a few years back killing several cruise liner tourists who under the mistaken impression it was safe and certainly not prohibited without the express permission of the Department of Conservation. Local Māori conservators acting a guides ignored all such pakeha bullshot. Money money. That eruption not only killed eight or so tourists, but the carbon and gas emissions spewed 9into the atmosphere apparently were the equivalent of New Zealand's projected emissions for the next hundred years. So, I would posit that reducing industrial emissions is completely pointless when volcanoes regularly spew centuries worth of human emissions into the atmosphere and there is nothing, we can do about it. What percentage of carbon in the atmosphere is the result of volcanic activity? Answers on the back of an envelope please.
my reinsurance buddies, who have money to lose, say it will be 4.5 degrees by 2100. So….and he is not taking into account AI growth. It takes 10x per ChatGPT search as a google search….hmmm
Irresponsible optimism displayed in this interview. It is like the planet has been smoking for more than 50 years. The glaciers have melted, the forests have been destroyed and the polar caps are next. Ecological destruction across the whole planet that, like your undeveloped technical solutions, will take decades to recover/develop. Meanwhile the temperature rises and the crops will fail. Good luck turning things around under those conditions.
thank you, I have new innovation, grab energy and pure water and fertilizer from sea that I mention in my profile.
The problem is greedy, corporations that finance people like you to allow them to continue polluting our atmosphere with forever chemicals. The truth is the Milanovich cycle. Our climate will change has changed and will continue to change for eternity.
me dijeron los viejos que la temperatura del mundo se elevaría 5 grados por el 2100 pero veo que se han equivocado , parece que la temperatura del mundo se elevará 5 grados por el 2050 , ¿ cuáles serán las consecuencias ?
I would love to hear these scientists if all money for global warming research was cancelled. I suspect the entire issue would vanish.
Well they had numbers in a computer though. I wonder IFin it's 'the law' that 'the law' deprive everyone else because the dumbass W told them they have 'deficit spending', and don't worry about the wages to pay for 'the law' we have 'supply-side' "economics", Art Laugher says so. And DJ Trumpty Dumpty is going to force the World to sweat for free to pay for it. Yep
