Sky’s Paul Kelso hears from locals living along a proposed 110-mile pylon route which could carry power generated offshore near Norwich, to Tilbury on the Thames estuary.
However, the project is meeting local opposition right across East Anglia.
The plans are part of a massive expansion to connect the existing power network to new wind farms and nuclear power, helping to decarbonise the grid.

Waste of money 💰 😂😂😂
Net zero is an obviously impossible goal when importing 1 million people every year. Maybe try getting everyone to leave.
Open borders is ruinous.
Let's hope so!
No they’re not, they’re protecting what little green land we have left. And the only reason “we have to build 5 times the infrastructure” is because we’re not allowed to protect our own borders
Yes they are-they’ve stopped 2 solar farms nr where I live ‘because it’ll be ugly’
Solar farms..,.that will barely be visible!!! And they refuse to listen to anything but their own nimby arguments.
Remember that Sunak will sacrifice net zeros for the chance to win a few more votes
What a vile slur. When they start calling the opposition names, that's an indication that they're Marxist commies.
And that they're getting frustrated and losing.
can it not go under ground?
good news
The same Tories who would back fracking would immediately object if it were anywhere near their homes or constituencies.
Do as we say not as we do, is as true today as it always has been where Tories are concerned.
Sky News keep selling this nonsense, but we’re still not buying. Scrap net zero!
Mass immigration is making it impossible, the carbon footprint is massive and they are all professional breeders
Net zero is a scam.
They have got this all wrong.
