At #COP28, it is important to recall that the Caribbean region is one of the most hazard-prone areas in the world. Climate change, environmental degradation and disasters increasingly impact human mobility patterns within the region, including disaster-induced displacement and evacuations, labour migration and urbanization, and planned relocation processes.
IOM provides support to its Member States to provide rights-based services to migrants and internally displaced persons, in partnership with civil society and private actors, advocating for #ClimateAction
to build resilience and reduce the negative impacts of #ClimateMigration.
