
World leaders are convening in Dubai for the twenty-eighth United Nations Climate Change Conference. While previous COPs have set the lofty targets nations need to meet to avert climate disaster, the money needed to pay for it is, for the most part, nowhere to be seen. According to the Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center, last year’s climate targets set at COP27 only have 16 percent of the funding implemented.
